Yay! Hope Charlie can come home today!!
I texted 4 friends and my sister this morning offering the breadmaker. I didn't hold out much hope but one friend asked if she could have it to make bread for her LO who is allergic to dairy. Now I feel better! Then my sister texted to ask if her MIL could have it - then another friend asked if her dad could have it! Anyway, said friend is coming over soon to fetch it - excuse for a cuppa and a biccie methinks!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
I'm so sad
Mum & sister were due back into the country today after a 3 week holiday that left on the day G was born...and now they're grounded stuck in Munich. When OH rang to tell me I cried
Grrrr stupid flucking volcano. Oh and to boot, dressed baby up in a gorgeous new romper ready to go for a wonder, about to put him in the pushchair and he did the most explosive poo imaginable, white romper now brown, tried boiling it and it's still brown
But that's enough...people have bigger problems, I'll get over waiting another day and the end of the new romper
*hugs* to all in need, poorly babies, tired mummies and those with poo OHs! esp Caz, hope you & Charlie are ok & he's out tonight and all better, x
:T to Jack for being good with your friend Glam& :j for paying off a bit of the mortgage, I love overpaying (haha, how sad do I sound)
MFD night in a hotel with hubby sounds fab, v jealous!
EA I wish you lived near me...I've loads of washing needs doing, some with poo on and everything :rotfl:
CSH very envious of your clothes deliveries!
Fitz hope you have a nice lunch out - friend sounds a bit pants though, think I'd have to ask if she had a problem if it were me :A
Dora I wouldn't worry about not having a birthday do - I'm sure when I was a kid it wasn't a given? In fact, I think I only ever had like 2 birthday parties and I'm ok with thatFamily meal seems the best way to mark it when they're tiny, so everyone else can remember and take lots of pics
I feel a bit mean on Guy for staying in today, had good intentions of having a walk but after the poo incident and finding out I can't see mum today, I thought I might just have an emotional breakdown in public if I did try going outLooking at wedding dresses instead now to cheer myself up and planning my diet, I've developed a seriously fat face since preg, just gorgeous, not!
p.s. is it really mean to let Guy cry to himself? I've found him crying for no reason quite a lot these last few days, if I ignore him he'll stop eventually, think it's because I'm on my own now he's not being picked up so much? I feel horrid doing itBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Same thing has literally just happened to us (ie about 10 minutes ago)! I've been smugly congratulating myself for months now that our reusable nappies don't leak unlike nasty disposies (and selling them to OH on that basis) and Edward has just completely exploded all over his new T shirt which he got from granny for Christmas and trousers which I bought him last week, both on for the first time today.
Still, its a beautiful day here today with us, the school holidays are almost over and we've survived pretty well all things considered, and OH is having a half day off work tomorrow, so all is otherwise well with the world here.0 -
Work is absolutely dead. Nothing for me to ship out. I am so borrrrreeeed.......
And the thing is even though I hate housework, I keep thinking , I could be at home, sorting washing, ironing etc Better stop those thoughts immediately or I'll be turning into MIL :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Ha, I decided if Rhys didn't fall asleep by 3, I'd go out.. 14.59 and he was sparko! :cool:0

We are staying in! J fell asleep on the floor and I know if I move him he'll wake.
He fell asleep at the hairdressers on my lap the minute she turned the hairdryer on - that was after banging his chin on the skin cos he was luncging for the shower head when she was washing my hair
He is now covered in my hair!
Gym - It's my first OP so I'm :j:j:j:j Only £160, 300 and 80p left to go!
Aw stupid volcano! Don't they know that people need to fly? :mad:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Just wondering about car seats. Around 4 or 5 of the mums were talking at the group on Monday about buying/having bought the next car seat 'up' IYKWIM?
I never drove when DD was a baby so actually know nothing about car seats!
None of the babies concerned were over 8mths or overly big or anything. When do you get a forward facing carseat? Just anytime??
I thought it was 9mths or mumblemumblemustreadthebook weight?0 -
