...and the rest! Carden Park near Chester was over £100 per night last time we stayed (work paid ;)).

These ones are the 'Venue' ones so they are more geared towards being conference venues, but we have used a few of them with work and they are generally a good standard.

A couple of nights away (anywhere!) will do us the world of good.

Weren't you looking for a lovenest for a couple of nights in June?

Scruff - hugs to you and Ellie.

So glad to hear better news from Caz.
that's the one! works Chrimbo do, 2 of us sharing was £75 each I think and the radiator was stuck on full blast! we slept with the balcony door open, in mid december :rotfl:
We want to have a weekend away in june next year hopefully abroad though.

Gym, maybe SS can meet ur mum I'm sure thats where she lives :D

right I', gonna force Chris to walk down to netto

((hugs)) Scruffy and el, glad she is keeping something dow now.

Fingers crossed Charlie keeps his temp low and is well enough to go home later.

    Well done on Overpayment Glam

I am poorly, poorly:(. I feel sick, headache, hot and completely lethargic, I can barely be bothered to move...I hadn't eaten all day, then felt suddenly starving so have just eaten half a peanut butter sandwich and a packet of crisps, now my tummy hurts...lots....off to lie down again:(

Gym, peg it out in the sun and it should fade. Heard on the radio about the volcano and resulting ash and shut down of the air ways. Few folk stranded here too. Such a shame, but hopefully it should only be 1-3 days till it's clear again.

Chris says he feels sick and has refused chocolate. Great stuff. Michael takes care of himself when sick, Chris doesn't. He has a basin though and is usually pretty good.

Word of warning Glam, you'll become obsessed!! I've got a spreadsheet telling me exactly what's spare after wages & bills & variables every month, then any extra's so I can totally scrutinize where the extra £s to overpay can come from, OH thinks I'm very sad

SM sounds like you've had a productive day :D :rotfl: @ the dream

Anyone any ideas on where to buy clothes for a long skinny baby? Just gone through his drawers and we've hardly got anything that fits him, everything is way too short even the 0-3 and some of the 3-6

CSH I thought the bigger car seat was at 12 months?

Just spoke to SIL, had totally forgotten her, OH & baby plus BIL & gf are all off on hols to see MIL on Sat, really hope their flights aren't boogered too :(

eta: Thanks Tia, I'll give it a try when the sun shines again :) Though I'll be a bit ashamed if the neighbours see, it really is that bad :rotfl:

Nicki - must be the day for grim pooping babies!
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

I got Am a forward facing carseat when she was 7 months, we kept finding her asleep trying to sit up, with her neck forward, cant of been good for her!!!

the forward facers says 9 months or 18 pounds i think.

But shes's been fine in it, much happier, can see whats going on, and she's legit now she's 18 pounds ;) lol

Just wondering about car seats. Around 4 or 5 of the mums were talking at the group on Monday about buying/having bought the next car seat 'up' IYKWIM?
I never drove when DD was a baby so actually know nothing about car seats!
None of the babies concerned were over 8mths or overly big or anything. When do you get a forward facing carseat? Just anytime??

I thought it was 9mths or mumblemumblemustreadthebook weight?

IIRC They have to be 9 months and over a certain weight to be forward facing.
When I went to Mothercare she said it's 9 months because thats when they can sit up, so I pointed out J could already sit up but apparently when they first sit up they use their tummy muscles but once they get to 9 months they use their back more and thats when its suitable for the forward facing seat.

When my friend went to Mothercare she said she was concerned her LO would be too big for current car seat before 9 months but the woman said it was very rare that babies got too big before then.

I got a rear and forward facing one which J is in now - Britax First Class Plus.
They can stay in them rear facing for longer (which is safer) than the carry style ones.

Mine is a birth to 4yrs.
It sits almost horizontal when rear facing and then turns around is more upright when forward facing.

Don't fogret you have to check it will ft your car!

oooooooooooooooooooo Tia - I always wondered what a Trajet was and was behind one today!
I'm pretty good with cars but had never even heard of it before you mentioned it!

So much for J having a bottle at 3pm - he's been sparko since 2.45pm!

It is different for every car seat so you prob need to read your instructions.

General rules are something like 9 months and 20lbs (LOL - made that weight up!! but I think it was something like that for the Maxi-cosi) but basically it is about them being strong enough to support their head in a crash. I would stay rear facing for as long as possible because it is safer.
