Caz Thats fabby hope he keeps something down.
El still hasn't eaten I've just let her drink all day so far. Don't want another trip to hospital to be put on a drip, she must have listened to the threats from the doc last nite and kept the lucozade and biscuit down until we got home last nite. She keeps telling me today her fingers are sore where they took the blood sugar tests!!

Maz wouldn't the freezer type carrier bags from supermarkets do the same job? I used to have a Morrys one and it was just like that.

Was going to say similar. Bag for life. Whilst surfing MSE yesterday, i'm sure I saw a thread where someone asked about using Bags for life to grow veggies.

Have no idea about it myself. Being completely useless at gardening.

Does anyone remember from a while (year?) back... I think there was a book rmac had which talked about babies having a 45min sleep cycle and you needed to wake them a little bit to "reset" the cycle so they will nap for longer? Anyone know what the book was?

J's cycle is about 35mins as I realised last week!
Oh - Glam - I have a friend who has been told by the doc that when her baby wakes and causes a fuss at night it may be because the baby is not properly awake and so doesn't know how to react properly and settle itself.

She has been advised to actually wake the baby a little more (nappy change or something, not playing) and then re-settle once baby is awake.

Not sure how it is working but wondered if it might apply to Jack too? And others maybe?

    Could be worth a try?

Sounds like a good idea! Can see the logic behind it - will try that tonight!
    Thanks

He slept til 3am last night so an hour longer than night before :j

Left J with my friend this morning for 2 hours and he didn't even cry :T
I sneaked off while she was holding him and she said she just distracted him for a bit. He even fell asleep in her LO's buggy without needing to be rocked! I think I might be a soft touch :o
As she is going on holiday tomorrow (flights permitting!) she has lent us her walker and given us the contents of her fridge! :D

Did a MS in an electrical store this morning and had to spend a fiver so bought a piar of £30 Tresemme straightners reduced to £4.97 :money:

but then went to book OH in for a haircut for tomorrow and ended up getting my own haircut! Got the fringe back but its layered this time so looks much better!

Just debating what to do now - its nice & sunny but the house is a tip! OH said to leave the house til BIL goes as we can store stuff in front bedroom again. Might go & drink my cloudy lemonade in the garden

OMG bargain!!!!!! I stayed at the one roughly near chester once, £75 a night!

...and the rest! Carden Park near Chester was over £100 per night last time we stayed (work paid ;)).

These ones are the 'Venue' ones so they are more geared towards being conference venues, but we have used a few of them with work and they are generally a good standard.

A couple of nights away (anywhere!) will do us the world of good.

Weren't you looking for a lovenest for a couple of nights in June?

Scruff - hugs to you and Ellie.

So glad to hear better news from Caz.
