Oh - Glam - I have a friend who has been told by the doc that when her baby wakes and causes a fuss at night it may be because the baby is not properly awake and so doesn't know how to react properly and settle itself.
She has been advised to actually wake the baby a little more (nappy change or something, not playing) and then re-settle once baby is awake.
Not sure how it is working but wondered if it might apply to Jack too? And others maybe?
Could be worth a try?please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Does anyone remember from a while (year?) back... I think there was a book rmac had which talked about babies having a 45min sleep cycle and you needed to wake them a little bit to "reset" the cycle so they will nap for longer? Anyone know what the book was?
The Baby Whisperer - if you wanna be all cheapo and not buy the book, just read some of the FAQs on the website's forums and they pretty much tell you everything the book does (for free!). Finn sleeps in 45 min chunks too, but I've never had any luck with the wake-to-sleep she postulates.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Morning all..
Update from Caz: Charlie is still too hot. They took blood last night and put a canula in. All he's doing is sleeping. They're waiting for the doc on his rounds now. The temp is their worry as they can't seem to control it.
Aww bless! Hope they can get it under control soon. Tell her we are thinking of them xx
I'm really clumsy as well. Have so many stupid accidents
Here I go again on my own....0 -
I've filled one huge bin bag with stuff from my wardrobe
, have a bag of stuff for my sister, a pile of stuff for ebay, a bag of winter stuff to go in the loft and a bin bag containing 16 pairs of boots
to go in the loft!
Just my jeans drawer to sort through now.
I've managed to empty my smaller wardrobe to make space for little girly dresses.

GOOD NEWS FROM CAZ: Looks like they may be going home tonight. Drip has made him look better and his temp is staying down now. As long as he eats and it stays down, they will get out tonight

Has everyone got the mail out from Asda today about the baby event? They have the usual Hauck buggy (£25) plus the Chicco Winter London stroller for £50 (which is £60 on Kiddicare and £90 in M'care atm).0

Hiya ladies
Im having a bit of rave about some baby food i found dunno if you have tried it but i always have a few tubs/jars of food for when we go out incase bubs gets hungry and we cant find suitable gnosh for him. Well i bought some of the hipp organic tubs the other day the ones with green lids and he had one today for lunch it was the mediterranean ratatouille with gnocchi and OMG its lush i had to stop myself eating it and bubs wolfed it down which isnt like him with baby food we mostly have to coax him to eat it as he prefers proper food now.
So although home made is best i recommend these for stashing for those odd occassions when you need them only thing is they are a bit pricey compared to the jared stuff but you can deffinitley tell the difference :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
LOL XL - just be careful eating baby food - you know weight lifters etc eat them to 'bulk up' because of the high protein etc content don't you?
I hardly ever taste baby food
it always smells minging!!
Have just booked hubby and I into a De Vere hotel for a Sat and Sun night at the end of June for £19 per night. Gives us something to look forward to....just need to work out where to stash the babba for the weekend now
I don't often venture onto the grabbit board these days and now I remember why!!! I always spend money!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman
