    just read this:

    http://www.kellymom.com/parenting/sleep/4mo-sleep.html

and thought it was really good

Yeah, but who in their right mind would name their baby girl 'Buford'? Or 'Hildegarde'! :rotfl:

    Sorry, had to say it!

However, it does make a good point, but it's not just breastfed babies. Formula fed babies do this as well (and I have yet to see a 4month old left to hold their own bottle but that's a different matter). Amber wakes up at night for a feed if she hasn't had enough during the day. Most babies will do the same.

For those of you who use a dummy how often do you sterilise them and do you just use your bottle steriliser? Also once there done how do you store them?

Erm.. never.. I rinsed them under the tap when really fluffy and washed them in the DW/washing up water when new or covered in snot or food

BUT.. I never sterilised a thing.. EVER.. waste of time.. if it is washed properly it is clean enough, they are no longer sterile the second they are out of the steriliser so it is a completely pointless exercise..

 Hello! I'm back, only been a fortnight :rotfl:

I've been quietly lurking on my phone when burping the LO at night but not had enough minutes in daytime hours to actually come on & catch up!

    I think they're both lovely names :p

Maz I've got a couple of books that I rubbished when I was given them (in a kind of, ha, I'll know naturally the answer to everything for he is my child kind of way), the one I like best is a breakdown of your baby week by week, can't remember the name but will find it for you as I think it's great for reassurance :A

Mel sounds like you had a good shop :D All for you or for the kids? I love Next baby bits :D

Kindof today's my first day without OH too :( Was meant to be yesterday but he extended by a day and I felt pretty lost first thing, but somehow the day's passed?! Did you manage to go out & get the little man weighed? I feel your pain with the sleep, I've done 3 nights of the night feeding so OH can sleep, come 5oclock it's daddy time though :D

Someone somewhere mentioned a parasol for the Joolz? I need one too - anyone manage to find a cheap one? Seriously begrudge paying M&P prices, buying the footmuff was bad enough

Ok Guy's not letting me hang around much longer, quick pic since I've not posted one yet, hopefully it'll work?!
    Here

eta: He's now gone to sleep so more time!

Som we sterilise in the steriliser and put them in the pods the TT ones come in.

Anyone got any tips on recurring blocked ducts/mastitis? I thought I was dying of flu last week but a trip to the docs confirmed mastitis, the swollen red boob for some reason didn't ring any alarm bells with me, doh. Thing is, it's not clearing despite 4 days of antibiotics so far, still swollen and blocked though the sicky feeling is passing, and the other side keeps getting blocked too. I feel like sawing off my boobs and giving them to someone :o Or just giving up on expressing and using formula but however often I think that, the actual reality of doing it makes me want to cry even more than the boob pain :o

Caz, call the GP back, say he hasn't peed and is really lethargic. If they don't listen, call NHS 24.

you're all bad, I have money in paypal... burning...
I fell asleep on the seatee with him for a while but was woken with his stomach churning! He cannot keep anything down and i have just been sick on after giving him a drink! TBH i hate taking him to the doctors as he never acts ill and even when he is really ill he will still be bouncing off the walls and i get the funny looks? going to phone doc back and see what they suggest.

    DONT SPEND MONEY LOL!!!!

Wow Red you obviously needed the stuff :D

I did, I was desperate, but really do begrudge spending large amounts of money on myself, never mind for stuff that is only going to be worn for a couple of months!!

    Yep, all for me Gym:o:D

((hugs)) to poorly and recovering babies. K is a bit better today, he has a terrible stinky bum, but no more sick. His temp has been up but calpol and calprofen have sorted that out:)

Toooo tired to cook, but need to get something on pretty soon
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

gym a hot bath with a hot flannel over your boobs helps to ease it, gently massage the area(i know this feels impossible). other than that always feed from that side first as it helps to clear it and have something to bite on lol!
i would possibly contact HV/GP if you havent seen an improvement yet x

Good Mel, I bet you look lovely :D

Thanks Caz, have tried putting a hot flannel on every time, even tried expressing while I'm in the bath in a desperate moment!! Can barely touch it at the mo it's so hard but will try bath & massage whilst crying through the pain - OH likened it to an implant it was that solid and firm, shame there's no way he's touching them while they're like this. Debating whether to go back to the Dr, as as well as the sore boobs, after I started anti biotics on Friday, Saturday I started pouring with red blood down below after it had all but stopped, rang NHS direct who told me to go to hospital but after the butchery and horror of the birth I couldn't face it :o I know I'm being totally stupid, will drag myself back to the GP soon...I will, I will, I will...

Hello all, hope you are having a good day.

Hugs for all poorlie babies and grown ups.xx

Lovely and sunny here, children have been in the garden all afternoon.

Can't help with the sleep issues, only have 1 child out of 3 who sleeps 12 all night in his own bed!

Hope you are ok MFD and that things work out. Well done brave Benjamin.
