Inevitably, I'm worried about everything, as this is my first!
Up until Wednesday I had virtually no symtoms except a bit of bloating. Then I woke up on Wed morning feeling sick and so was pretty relieved that things seemed a bit more normal. Felt sick when I woke up on Thursday too.
Since then though, there's been nothing. No sickness, no mild tummy cramps like I'd been having occasionally through the previous week, no lightheadedness (had that last weekend). I didn't really feel too pregnant to begin with but now I feel even less so.
I've not had any bleeding or major stomach cramps, which is a positive sign, but I could do with a little reassurance from anyone who's been through something similar. I have my first midwife appointment this coming Friday.
Thanks girls,
LF
Hi and welcome I had excatly the same in both my pregnancies allthough i did bleed in my 1st pregnancy. Count yourself lucky and hope the sickness does not come at all. I do!! Ds is now 21 months and I am 28 weeks pg with nr 2. The only pg symptom i had was feeling tired.
You can allways phone your midwife if you are worried but they are unlikely to do anything at this stage.

Hello,
Not been on for a while as I've been mainly spending my time looking for stuff on ebay and painting the nursery! I'm now 30 weeks + 2 days and starting to get REALLY uncomfortable at nights - got all sorts of pillows and wedges and nothing really helps for more than an hour or two.
Bailey - if you are having to do shifts which could be classed as antisocial hours or some other such term, your company HAS to take into account that you are pregnant and the associated risks to your health. This means that you are justified in asking them to reduce your hours or to change them, or they could also be asked to move you to a different department or job for the rest of your pregnancy. (For example, when I had a pregnant staff member she had to go down to working 10-3 instead of 9-5 for a bit). And no, you shouldn't have to take annual leave for this. I'm sure that someone else will come up with a good link for employee rights etc, but first of all try your Union Rep or Health and Safety Advisor at work.
Good luck!

Hi Ladies! I'm Caroline and 18 weeks pregnant with my first. EDD is 8th Feb '07- please could I join your list?
Nice to have some pregnant company. As you can see I'm on a tight budget as have got a shedload of debt to pay off but I'm finding that eBay is a lifesaver.

Hi, I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby, EDD 1st March 2007. My husband and I are really excited but terrified about how we are going to cope financially when I'm on maternity leave. Any tips and advice would be gratefully received!
Thanks

Hi
found out last week I am pregnant and due 28th April
I am 35 and already have a 13 year old and a 9 year old ( both girls)
My husband works for the council as a bin man/recycler and came in yesterday with a cot, car seat and some toys that people were just chucking out....had a good look and there is nothing wrong with any of them so lots of money saved there.
also joined freecycle and there are loads of offers for baby stuff including clothes so will be stocking up asap.
also found out that cos its due in april I get extra paid maternity leave YAHOO!!!
good luck to all mums to be
will keep reading to hear everyones updatesI MAY HAVE NOTHING.....BUT ITS MY NOTHING0 -
Hey Lilliflower
Don't worry about your lack of symptoms, believe me it's a blessing. I know it's hard that you don't feel pregnant, but that will soon come.
I had a similar start to my pregnancy - no bleeding, very few cramps, only one day's sickness. It's nothing to worry about and I'm sure is nicer than running to throw up every 15 mintues! It won't be long before your normal clothes won't fit around the waist, even though everyone else will swear they can't see a difference.
At 24 weeks I'm getting fed up of people not realising I'm pregnant - I want to look pregnant now! But I know it won't be long before I'm wishing to look 'normal' again, so I'm making the most of it!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

Hi Sam
Great that you managed to get all that stuff for free the only thing that I would not use is the carseat as you never know if it has been in an accident the current guidelines are not to use them second hand! The goos thing is that you can pick them up really cheap i picked up on in the sale in mthercare for £15 last year and it was one that works from birth to 13 kg so for me that was a very good buy!

Have to agree on the carseat thing. if the seat has been in an accident then it is essentially useless. To my mind babe's safety when in the car is worth those extra £££s.
As far as I'm concerned...I'm 28 weeks, and feeling fine. Just a bit tired every now and then.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
