Good news for all those mums to be due after April 2007
From the working families website
Expected changes for 2007
It is expected that for babies due after 1st April 2007, SMP & MA will become payable for 9 months, an increase of 3 months on the current 6 month pay period. The last 3 months of AML will remain unpaid.
Some of this leave may be transferable to the father, or mother’s partner. Keep an eye on our website, https://www.workingfamilies.org.uk for updates.Mum to 2 beautiful daughters born Oct 05 & Oct 08

Hello everyone:)
Had a Mw appointment this afternoon and alls well. 1st time i heard the heartbeat without hunting for it (everytime before that was hunt the heartbeat!)... bumpy seems happy and healthy!
I did ask about my right side pulls when i walk and was told after 1st pregnancy you can suffer with it and nothing you can do. When i said about the low lying placenta might be a cause of it, she replied might well be. But to see them if stabbing pains or bleeding
I had alittle worry last night-something i had for dinner (sausages, they looked ok, cooked well etc) well everyone seemed to have a funny tummy. so one point i had to go to the loo and typical I couldnt go-it might be the start of consipation time maybe? but i ended up having a wee (sorry tmi i know!) and felt like it could have gone forever. So worry wort gene kicked in and thought 'oh noooooo not leaking amio!) but i did stop. I told the mw and didnt really say anythink about it.
19 weeks of more worry-HELP! *THUD THUD THUD* my head on the computer deskCant wait to meet Bumpy!:j0 -

Apparently it's a new system (I'm not sure if it's just my area)where they fill in an antenatal refferal form and you choose 1-3 hospital and your offered a place. If you only choose one and you don't get the place the PCT chooses a local hoospital for you.0 -

I know it especially when you live in an area like mine's when the hospital don't have good repitations.0

Hello everyone
Just found out that my due date's 20th April - can I join please? :j
Inevitably, I'm worried about everything, as this is my first!
Up until Wednesday I had virtually no symtoms except a bit of bloating. Then I woke up on Wed morning feeling sick and so was pretty relieved that things seemed a bit more normal. Felt sick when I woke up on Thursday too.
Since then though, there's been nothing. No sickness, no mild tummy cramps like I'd been having occasionally through the previous week, no lightheadedness (had that last weekend). I didn't really feel too pregnant to begin with but now I feel even less so.
I've not had any bleeding or major stomach cramps, which is a positive sign, but I could do with a little reassurance from anyone who's been through something similar. I have my first midwife appointment this coming Friday.
Thanks girls,
