OMG!!! I think I've just qualified to join your club!!! Just done a test this morning cos I was a few days late... and sat there stunned as TWO lines appeared! I'm a bit in shock I think. Though trying to keep that silly grin off my face...
Wasn't expecting this at all, periods are only just getting back to normal after having DD2. Don't know how OH is going to take this he's away until tomorrow night - can't tell him this over the phone!!
By the way I have 2 DD's aged 3 and 1.
Much too early to tell "normal" people, but I thought I'd tell you lot and blag my way into your club (pretty please!!).
Oooohh, I feel all shaky (felt absolutely normal up until about 2 hours ago!!!)
mjk
P.S. Already feeling an urge to go and wander round Mothercare!!!
P.P.S. At that stage now where one minute you don't know you're pregnant the next you're absolutely desperate to remain pregnant, and for nothing to go wrong.0 -
Congratulations to all those newly pregnant!
I am 26 weeks now and due on 24th October, told need to have another section as already had 3 due to abruption with no. 1 at 33wks, breech with no.2 and obstetric cholastasis (baby had liver and lung problems as well) with no.3 born at 36wks. So with history told will be booked for 37wks.
Feeling the heat, legs and feet slightly swollen but just itching like mad. Hope its not the cholastasis again, but otherwise feeling good.
Be nice to see how everyone gets on!0 -

I know exactly what you mean!! I remember being really fed up, feeling like I had major PMS (emotional, bloated, crampy) and just being desperate for my period to come. Three minutes later, having done a test, I was feeling those same cramps and thinking "oh no, don't you dare go wrong" all within the space of minutes. And ironically at the same time I cried for about a day as I felt we weren't ready for this....hormones are weird !!0 -
Just wanted to say HI. I'll be 7 weeks on Monday 24th and so not due 'til 12th March. I have 2 DSs 19 and 17 and a DD of 23 months. I've just got over the shock as this one wasn't planned. We're going to have to play musical bedrooms or something too because we're in a 4 bedroom house which we don't want to extend. DS2 is threatening to join the army though so that might solve the problem LOL0

I really dont want to do myself any more damage but the midwifes and doctors dont exactly seem to be full of information to help me
With both of my other 2 all i ever had was gas and air and im hoping to do the same with this one just not sure if im going to be able to
Have you seen this downloadable booklet?
It's got ideas on coping with the pain and birthing plans etc.
I guess I'm in a different situation to yourself in that I had the C Section for my first birth, so no one was even going to rule out en epidural (as I don't think that they thought my second birth was going to be a "natural" birth).
Talking through birthing options with a midwife is great, but I really think that you should be speaking to your consultant about what your options are, and making sure that all the info is on your white notes and that they are monitoring you correctly. (I'm so bossy, sorry!)
If need be, print out the above document and take it with you!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Hi,
I am hoping that somebody might be able to help me. I am 19 wks pregnant and last Sunday my midwife called to see me, informing me that the results from my triple blodd test has put me at 1:76 of my baby having down syndrome. I saw the consultants registar on Monday and was booked in on Wed for the amnio. I went, and after much pain and my friend nearly throwing up, I was told that i have to come back and have the test done again as they were unable to gain enough amniotic fluid to run the test and that if they keep messing around my chances of miscarriage increase dramatically.
I am going back on Wed, and just want to know if anybody has experienced this and can put my mind at rest, I am a bag of nerves and am really scared incase they are unable to get another and if that happens then I have to go to Southampton and have specialised test.
I am on anti-depressiants as it is ans this is really concerning me and effecting my work, my relationship and I am snapping at everybody.
Any help appreciated.
OoobxxOh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0 -
Hi
I had an amnio last year, mine was fine, although a bit uncomfortable. Y'know when I had it done, I thought bloody hell, this is painful. Then Ihad my daughter in June, and I really knew what pain was!!
Please don't worry about it. The more you worry the worse you'll feel.
Why don't you take someone calm with you when you go? My hubby came along and was quite fascinated with watching needle go in.
You'll be ok
Good luck xLeilasmum0
