ion a slightly strange side note... is anyone having sex dreams about the weirdest people? like people you have never/would never think of in that way before??
seriously... the things i did with Jamie Oliver in that shower last night are making me feel quite ill, i wouldnt touch him with a 10 foot clown pole (when im awake anyway)
    :o :lipsrseal _pale_ :naughty:
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

not sex dreams really - although I did have an odd one last night about an aquaintance - but dreams in general. I feel like I didn't sleep at all last night cos I was so busy doing all sorts of things, including waking myself up laughing at Richard Hammond falling in a canal  :rotfl:
  • see... why cant i have sex dreams about Richard Hammond??!! :)
he wouldnt know what hit him! (but he should be used to that!) rrrrrrrrrrROWR!

    Jamie bleedin Oliver? urrrggghhh.... *shudder*
I have more imagination than that, must try harder tonight ;)

Nadnad really sorry toh ear your news, hopefully you will be back to join us sometime soon, when your ready.

Congratulations to all the other new mothers and additions to the list.

We had a 4D scan done yesterday. It was one of the amazing experiences i've ever had. We were able to see so much of him, from individual fingers to the shape of his lips (I keep saying he, but we still don't know). I'd really recommend it to any one if you get the chance. We got a really good deal at the Baby Show, but I know the normal packages can be really expensive.

One of the photos we were given, (along with a CD-Rom and a DVD of the actual scan) is in my avatar.

    awwww, welshlassie thats great,
we have looked into it and really want a 4-d scan, and we have found a place near us that is charging a reasonable price, and not asking hundreds like some private scan companys do,
we should have been at the baby show but my daughter had an operation on thursday and i couldnt leave her, and i wont be able to go to the next one in london as its a week before my due date and if i remember rightly from last time the last thing im going to feel like doing at 9 months pregnant is traipsing around london and using the tube!
did i miss any good freebies?

Anyone know what happens re paternity leave if Hubby starts his leave too early? I know the pay is supposed to start from babys due date or from the day of birth but what if I go into a false start or have a really long labour - I'd be scared to call him home in case he gets into trouble with work, they're a bit rubbish.

Tequilla Slammer - have you tried drinking Raspberry Leaf Tea? It's supposed to tone up the uterus muscles and I started drinking it recently but then stopped again when I read in my NHS book that it's not recommended before 36 weeks, (I'm 34), as it is thought it could bring labour forward. Others say it only starts the labour off if baby is ready.
“We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free.” :D

I honestly dont think anything you drink can start off labour except for when the baby decides its time, my sister drank all sorts of tea, walked up and down stairs, eat spicy food.... all the old cliches... and nothing,

    sorry girls!
i know it helps a lot of women to think they are doing something to help it along but i think the only thing that will do it for some of us is by having sex, my sis thought she was doing the equivelent by excersising and running up the stairs but its a chemical in the sperm that starts it... not all the gigging about :)

**fast forward to november when im posting "what can i do to get this baby ouuuuuut!!!! HELP!"**

Hope you're OK, Flis. Good news with the sickness!!!

Congrats, Hippolyta! Six weeks will scoot by! (hope the baby fund is a healthy amount courtesy of Mr Bank Manager!).

Tequilla, fingers crossed that 'the day' is on its way!

Welshlassie, your pic is amazing! My MIL has offered to pay for our 4D scan as baby would not keep still at my NHS 20w scan! There is a clinic near by and we are thinking of this package for £90:

    15 minutes (approx) scan time
    Sexing of baby if required
DVD of approximately 5 minutes with music to watch again and share with loved ones at home.
CDrom containing all your images taken throughout your session
2 High quality glossy photographs of your choice

    What does everyone think?
