Can I be added to the TTC list !!

Have just bought a good book called Taking Charge of your Fertility. I have started my first chart and have worked out on a couple of websites my menstrual cycle but even when I put in the same dates it brings up different dates as high fertility eg on 1 site its 26-29th May on the other its 25th-30th May.

I dont suppose 1 day makes much difference or does it ?

Congratulations Money_Maker_Shaker, on the birth of Theo.

And Doormouse, congrats on finding out it is a boy. We (or I at least) will also find out, as I was so wrong first time round, and remember balling my eyes out when DS was about a week old because he wasn't the girl I was so convinced I was having. I found out with DS2 too, so acceptance was instant.

And to all the newbies (or finally adding themselves officially) welcome. I too haven't added myself. Waiting for my scan cause not too sure of dates.

I just had my first baby on the 30th January. Alyssa Nicole was 12 days late and weighed in at 8lb 9.5oz! All I can say to anyone expecting their first (from my limited experience), is even though it feels like it will be forever until your baby is born and your aches and pains and problems feel like hell- ENJOY THEM ALL.Your time now is the last you'll have totally to yourself for a long time to come...Even though I had horrendous heartburn, middle of the night leg cramps and dizzyness and fainting i actually MISS THEM! If I felt rubbish and wanted to stay in bed all day I could! Pregnancy is so much easier than looking after your 'bundle of joy' and you just won't realise it until after you've given birth. You never seem to have your hands free and the baby will always cry just as you sit down and start to relax (or maybe thats just mine). Then there's all the relatives who want a piece and you never seem to get round them fast enough before they're all after another look. It's tiring. If you think your nights are sleepless now-just wait.The hard work hasn't started yet.
Also-spend as much time as you can with your partner because you will really miss him and his input when he has to return to work after a measly two weeks paternity.
But you wouldn't change it for the world-especially when you get the first proper smile at about 5 weeks. Sooooo cute!

Am I allowed fresh pineapple then? Hubby loves them and just bought one. I'm guessing it may bring on labour when the baby is ready, not randomly during early pregnancy...?

I've eaten loads and been fine...

a friend of mine who was overdue at a whole pineapple a day for a week to try and encourage baby to arrive and nothing... it appears to be a bit of a myth based on a chemical in green pineapple that no one would eat as it's unripe...
