I'm on my third baby and have bought very little from Mothercare as it's so expensive compared to other shops.

At the minute I like www.kiddicare.com I've bought a few bits from there and their prices are very reasonable. Customer service is excellent, and the goods arrive within a couple of days.

I've decided to rejoin the thread as I'm feeling a lot more positive about things at the moment, despite the crap family stuff.

My brain has turned to mush. This morning I forgot the word for 'email' - 'er... the message... list... thing'. Dur.

Feel a bit like no one really buys into how tired it can make you though - not that I want lashings of sympathy but that slight look of doubt - as though your pregnancy doesn't count until it hides your feet.

Scan was amazing :j and I think that was the moment when OH really grasped the fact that I am carrying an actual baby that we made. Still waiting for flowers though

Due date is still 12th Oct and it seems such a long way off which I suppose is just as well.

I think I'm going to have to try maternity wear soon though - I have one pair of jeans a size up but they are too baggy on the thighs - I was desperate for new clothes anyway - everything else is getting tight - I've got my eye on some trousers that have extendable strap things, anyone know if these can accommodate tiny bumps without looking weird? Can't try things on as I'm shopping online... I suppose they will fit eventually if not now anyway...? I'm alright for tops, mind you I always am but never have enough pairs of trousers/jeans.

Agutka we've just booked our last holiday as a couple too - what a contrast to the first time we went away - just two weeks after meeting, off to Italy together, it was so romantic now it's all practical and my phobia of healthcare in general means we're staying in England and I'm sure it's worked out as more expensive than going abroad... can't wait though :j

Hello, can I play and join the list too?!

I've just realised I'm (only just!) pregnant. Due 10th December.
It came as a bit of a shock, my last child (daughter) was born 10 years ago - it was her birthday Sunday.

I did get pregnant last April but I sadly lost it having had the IUD I had removed. Now finding out I ws pregnant last year was a huge shock :eek: - I found out 6 weeks after my mum died.

Since the miscarriage we didn't use contraception - I did try abstinance but hubby didn't usually let me . So it shouldn't have been a surprise but we weren't trying.

Anyway, sinced telling hubby about said baby, he hasn't spoken too me. He hasn't touched/cuddled me and certainly not warmed my feet! I'm waiting for the shock to wear off for him before we discuss it any further.
He didn't want me to keep the last baby but saw I couldn't terminate so reluctantly agreed.

The problem we have (as many do) is finances are very very tight and another child (this would make 3) will obviously streatch things very thinly.
But I'm sure we'll muddle through.

Anyway I was wondering if some of the other mums to be could maybe start a thread on the cheapest/best places to buy essentials like prams/buggys, car seats etc???:D
