My wife had a misscarriage last year, at 8 weeks.

She is now 5 weeks gone, done the tests everything OK, she is very sleepy, but no morning sickness, are we getting worried over nothing ?

Or can you go through a pregnancy without being sick ?
I didn't feel sick at all until much later and then it really kicked in!

You'll worry no matter what... hopefully you'll be offered an early scan which will help set your minds at rest but even then you'll still worry...

    hope all goes well!

    Rennies? Gaviscon? Instant relief.

I wasn't sure if I could take those things. Thank you

Have been told we no early scan, we have to wait in line like everyone else. A work collegue of my wife has had a misscarriage and is also now pregnant she went private for an early scan (NHS could only slot her in at 15 weeks) and it cost £75.00 we will do the same.

I've always been told your first child engages at about 32-35 weeks and your second child can be as late as the start of labour.

I'm now 34 + 3. I had an antenatal appointment and the midwife says the baby is breech and if he doesn't turn in two weeks they will do a scan to confirm this and they will turn the baby.

I said to her I did think that was necessary and she just said don't worry about it now we'll see what happens in 2 weeks.

Should my baby be head down at 36 weeks?

Does anyone know what good for Indigestion?

It's mostly acid on my chest and late at night.

    It's driving me mad.

Any of the over the counter remedies like Rennies, Gaviscon etc. are safe in pregnancy.

I bought some Galpharm 3 in 1 antacid in Savers yesterday which were 24 tablets for 99p - much cheaper than Boots! Needed them as I was walking round with awful indigestion and trapped wind yesterday :o

If you ask your midwife, you can get Gaviscon on prescription, so you'll get it for free. I'm going to ask for some when I see mine at the clinic on Friday.
Here I go again on my own....

it does vary a lot between trusts but you may find an early scan helpful... nothing will really set your minds at rest though just try to get your wife to rest as much as possible and be good to each other... it will feel like an eternity! :grouphug:

Get it on prescription - I phoned my doctor and he did it without me making an appointment and I got a massive bottle of extra strength gaviscon for free.

Edited: Oops, as Becles has already said :o

I'm now nearly 22 weeks and apart from the missed periods and now kicks I wouldn't know I was pregnant. Even the tiredness and emotional hypersensitivity I could easily put down to the stresses of day-to-day life!

It's understandable you are worrying, expecially given your previous loss. I too thought there must be something wrong because I felt fine throughout, but it's been plain sailing so far. After a single previous miscarriage your chances of a healthy normal pregnancy second time around are every bit as good as anyone else's, so do try not to worry. The midwife tells me I'll have plenty to worry about once the little blighter arrives! :)

India, you got to 34 weeks without antacids?? Wow... My GP was sure about Gaviscon, but Rennies, which my hubby eats regularly also specify indigestion on pregnancy. Yum.

Is it 10am tomorrow morning yet?? That's when my 12wk scan is and I have no idea what to expect. What do I wear? Will they give us photos? Will it hurt ( )? Will they be able to tell anything is wrong/right? Aaarrggghhh!

On the bright side, it's my gorgeous nephew's second birthday tomorrow and rumours are there will be Pingu themed cake! :D
