Just updated myself to the Given Birth list!
Holly was born 2nd March, right on her due date (good girl!) at 2.45am weighing 6lb 5oz. She arrived very quickly, 3 and a half hours start to finish!
Noticed something a bit odd at about 11.15 on the thurs night, phoned midwife by 1am. Got to hospital about 1.30am and she was born 2.45 am. Discharged 2 hours later so back in our own bed by 5.30am thinking 'whats just happened?' All doing well, I feel fantastic (for the moment at least), but already dreading going back to work. Oh, and the suggestion that sex induces labour is sooooo true!

I'm now 1 day over - and feel like that ticking time bomb. We had been so convinced this one would show up a day or two early!!! Don't ask me why, just one of those things!

I think the sex tip has helped a little, as last night I think my mucous plug started to come away, perhaps Dh will have to get lucky again tonight - to try and speed it up somemore!!!!:o

Snaggles... how did you manage to keep it at bay? I'm only 16 weeks and am starting to get symptoms... if there's a way to stop it progressing I'd love to know please. I'm seeing my Midwife on Monday so will ask her to refer me too so I can get a belt again (I gave my last one to my cousin but she's gone through enough martial problems right now so I don't really feel it's the time or place to ask her for it back after 4 years

I didn't realise it caused Hip alignment problems... I was wondering this morning why the joint where my leg joins the hip was clicking (not hurting at all, I could just 'hear it in my head'.... if that makes sense :rotfl: . Maybe that's why I could hear it..?

i thought you had to stay in hosp for at least 6 hours after giving birth? thats just what i heard, though, its not based on experience as this is our first baby.

Congratulations Broomey! Is Holly your second - is that why labour was so fast? Just wondering if I might get luckier second time round!
