On the topic of breast pads, one of my friends recommended LilyPadz to me. They're made of silicone I think and you just need one pair although they cost £14.99+p&p. There's more info on their website (http://www.lilypadzonline.co.uk/) but apparently they reduce leakage and other problems and my friend told me that she's found them great and she's had much less problems/soreness etc this time (her third) than previous times. I don't know whether they save money or not though as I guess it depends how many disposables you would have used and I haven't used them myself yet.

There's a really good list of clothing to pack in your labour bag in the Jools Oliver book Minus Nine to One - page 91.

I tried the Lansinoh breast pads as Lloyds were out of their own brand (had a voucher). I've since tried Tommee Tippee ones and they are exactly the same, nice and thin with a sticker on. Think these are probably cheaper and I can pick them up at Asda instead of making a special trip. Hope this helps!

Where's everyone?

I'm having a wonderful weekend - not! Following my rubbishy cold, I managed to get an ear infection as well. :mad: :mad: :mad: (An ear infection - what am I, a toddler? )

Never had one before (as an adult anyway) and let me tell you, it hurts. Seriously - I have not been in this much pain since I was in labour. :eek: :eek: :eek: I'm now on antibiotics and megadoses of paracetamol - oh the joy. So much for trying to avoid medication while pregnant - I'm just glad I'm past the first trimester.

So just wanted to have a moan and say please take care of yourselves, eveyone. Off to feel sorry for myself now.

Dormouse I sympathise ear infections are horrid - I used to get them often and was very sick with them and couldn't keep the antibiotics down long enough for them to work :rolleyes:

I'll add my neck pain to the misery list - at 4am we spent nearly an hour on the phone to NHS direct to see if I could take more paracetamol as I'm thrown up not long after the last ones but we had to give up as there was no response so phoned our GPs out of hours service who said, 'erm dunno' you can take some ibuprofen but not with the paracetamol. Thanks clear as mud then... So having taken no drugs so far I'm not on paracetamol to the max dose at night time and have finally given in and had a couple of iburpofen to tide me over till I get to the chiro tomorrow. OH couldn't really deal with me throwing up, crying and shouting at him cos he thought I should 'try to relax more and not take drugs' at 5am :rolleyes: Bless him he had to get up for work today too.
