i think in my case, i have been broody forever :rolleyes: but it has taken a little time (does 2 years count as a little time??) to persuade my other half that this is really a good idea and for us to be in a reasonable situation to be able to deal with a little bundle :eek: so now i have a green light to go for it i feel like i can let my broodyness run wild so to speak!! well, not that anyone else knows that we are trying, hence being incognito!!

I had a 'scare' last August (on the pill but had been poorly and then a very late period). OH and I hadn't even been together a year at that point but it definitely made us think about it. I tried to convince myself that I needed to wait for the right time... it's only when we decided that might never happen that we decided to go for it.

Is anyone online right now? I am dithering - I am due on today and am regular as clockwork but have no cramps - I can usually tell. Do I take a test and put myself out of my misery, or wait? I don't know which would be the more disappointing - the arrival of my period or a negative test. Probability is against me so I've not got my hopes up exactly but it's partly knowing whether I'm going to have a period or not - also the fridge is full of beer. :rotfl: Any advice?

jump up and down - do your boobs hurt? That was my first sign - and I'm usually regular as clockwork and was wondering where my PMS was and did my aerobics as I often do but had to hold my boobs on anything jumpy as they were way worse then they ever are when I'm due on and the next day (day after I was due) I did a test and it was positive...


and ingocnito my DH had to persuade me for about 5 years so 2 is not bad going... and then I thought it'd take a while but it only took 2 months and even then we weren't really trying :rolleyes:

I'm going to try and wait until tomorrow - aren't tests more likely to be accurate first thing in the morning? So I just need to take my mind off it for today I think.

Tests do work best with your first wee of the morning, as it's more concentrated.

always good to give the wildlife some entertainment...

yes the hormones are more concentrated in the morning but modern tests are very sensitive so there's no reason why you need to wait. Right now I'd kill for a beer (well until the first sip then I'd change my mind ) so I'd say do the test then you know if you can raid the fridge tonight :rotfl:

Hennypenny - 19th December Girl No 2, child no3 - Kira, born 19-12-06, 8lb 15.5oz, 9 days early. Middle name giving us a bit of a problem, but sure it will come to us eventually - really like Holly, but surname is Woods so would be a bit unfair!
J's_Other_Half - William Robert 7lb 5oz C Section (labour never started, never mind progressed!) 21st December.
