Hi
Can any of you remember feeling dizzy, slightly nauseous, hyper sensitive to smells before you missed your period or before you tested positive on a pregnancy test?
I am only asking as there is quite a chance I may be pregnant this month and have just under a week to wait for my period (long cycle) so also too early to test, but am feeling a bit strange (cant remember if I felt this way with my other 2) and have that 'am I, aren't I' thing going on in my head. Also wondering if I may be feeling like this as I would like to be pregnant so my body is tricking me into feeling this way.
Thanks
Hope to be joining you soon

Hi Jo
I can't answer your question as I'm TTC too (no children as yet) but I can sypathise with the 'am I aren't I' thinking, I too have a bit of a wait for my period and it's honestly all I can think about - this is our first month trying so I'm sure my thoughts will calm down with time, but the waiting is horrible - yet I know I could be waiting months, this is only a few weeks!
I think the trouble is that SO many things can be an 'early sign' but can also be 'nothing' and yes I wonder what tricks my body is playing on my mind... we're complicated creatures
Best wishes to you

Hi Jennifer
Glad Im not just cracking up then!!! I hate this part of the month, don't want to get my hopes up but also really hoping. I am analysing every little thing.
With my first child we tried for 5 years, so half the time wondering - maybe maybe not - took over my life a bit, had fertility treatment in the end. Baby number 2, it didn't even enter my head that I could get pregnant going on the past fertility problems so getting pregnant was a huge surprise indeed.
But this time those feelings are definitely here!!!!
Hope all goes well for you and that you find out soon too.

Awkward question - it's very hard to say! In late September I felt like absolute crap (and my nipples were itching like crazy), but a negative test and lack of missed periods suggested that I'd just caught a bug from someone else in the office. In early Oct we went on holiday and all seemed well-ish, but I did feel queasy now and then, plus couldn't face drinking any wine - very strange for me! - but again it could have been a bug or richer food than usual.
Finally came the elusive missed period: I was pregnant after all (due 8 June 07), but those symptoms still might have been caused by something else. That said, I've had a blissful first pregnancy since then *lol*I didn't throw up once!
best of luck *hug*

thanks for the reply xxxxx
I'm living off toast mostly with the occasional real meal (although about 1tbsp worth only) thrown in. I'm trying really hard to eat fruit and veg but it just makes me retch.
I'm about 10 days ahead of you emma and got more sick around the time you have but it's easing a little bit now - or maybe I'm managing it a bit better now.0 -

Hi,
I had one really bad migraine and felt really dizzy for about 4 hours, this was 4 days before my period was due, this was a bit rubbish because I was on honeymoon, and was too poorly to go out - getting room service was nice though. I already suspected I was pregnant, as my boobs had gone rock hard like cricket balls!

Any 'artificial' smells would make me feel sick, especially lemon dishwasher tablets. Real lemons were fine. The faintest whiff of tobacco would make me heave as well.
If you feel really sick and can't keep much down then don't worry about healthy eating and 5 a day, just eat anything that stays down - even if it is cream buns. Just remember to take your folic acid.ISA £1675MiniMoohound savings £3685.86 :T Plus £3800 CTF

With my first son we weren't trying for a baby the only reason I did the test was because I started feeling sleepy and nausea and keep going to the loo. I also felt like I was going to be sick when I smelt certain foods. My mum guessed and told me to do a test and it was postive. I was only 5 weeks.
With this pregnancy the signs didn't come that early but made up for lost time when they did.0
