Unfortunately she has had a real rough time of it and lost the baby in September after an emergency c-section. Sadly she has also lost her husband.
Understandably loobyloose doesn't feel like posting on this board but please join me in sending her our very best wishes and hopes that she can get through what must be a truly dreadful time.
Thanks for letting us know. Please pass on our best wishes to loobyloose when you can. I don't really know what else to say that doesn't sound really trite but if you can let her know that she will be welcomed back when she feels up to posting, that would be great. xx0 -
Good evening all,
After the great response I had posting in the R&F forum I was hoping you might consider adding Mrs firstcrowcounter to the list she's due er... tomorrow, better late than never?0 -
Good luck firstcrowcounter! Let us know any news!
Any news also Andrea? I've been thinking about you.
Much love and hugs to loobyloose. I am so so sorry to hear this news.
This pregnancy lark isn't getting any easier unfortunatley, I still feel like I've been run over by a bus and I'm still very nauseous and retching/being sick every so often. No bump yet either, just fatter - boo hoo.

is sickness a good sign? i have been wretching or actually vomitting all week now.but still waiting for scan to confirm bubs is well inside me
had a scan last week, would have been approx 6 weeks, saw a white circle (yolk sac) with a samll dot on the edge, that they said was embryo but was "early days"
anyone who can help with some encouraging, or even discouraging words, just wanna know what the chances are really....
next scan weds and dont know what to expect
they told me nothing except see you in 2weeks0 -
Sickness is generally a good sign emma-b so don't give up hope. Just make sure you're looking after yourself, getting plenty of rest, your 5 portions of fruit and veg and don't forget to drink lots esp. if you're being sick. Will be thinking about you next week.
Please pass best wishes to loobyloose - how absolutely terrible for her.
Yes, I'm still hanging around in here as well as in the MSE Parent's club - just can't seem to give it up even though our baby girl arrived on Boxing Day. Don't get me wrong, it's a busy business looking after a newborn, but I do get a break every now and then. Hubby has been looking after her today so I had a lie-in and have even managed an hour in the bath!!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -

Hi there. Can I be added to the TTC list? I'm very jealous of all you ladies who are well on the way to meeting your new babies!
I have two sons, 4 and 1 and want to try for another baby as soon as possible. DH and I were trying from July, but then he had to go away for work in September and is not back till the end of Feb. Luckily he was able to come back for 2 weeks on 7th December. On 20th I found out I was pregnant but unfortunately miscarried on the 4th January. I am now desperate to try again. God help DH when he returns on 22nd February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really want a home birth this time round. I have it all planned out - just need to be pregnant now!
Good luck to everyone who is due soon I hope it all goes well.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Sickness may be a good sign as it can indicate a high level of the hormones needed to maintain the pregnancy - but then again not everyone is sick.
Been decorating baby's room today, and while taking the wallpaper off we found some old hand painted murals of nursery rhyme characters, they look to be from the 1950's by the style of drawing, it's nice to think of that room being a baby's room before.

emma_b, nausea / sickness is definitely a good sign; i was fvery nauseous in my first pregnancy but not at all in the second which I MC'd.
hi hippychick1, I am also TTC for my 2nd child (have one boy aged 21 months) after a miscarriage last September. My husband works away too but luckily only for two weeks at a time. It must be really tough with 2 kids and no husband for 5 or 6 months at a time...0 -

This is the first time he has had to be away really so it was a shock and very hard work at first. I'm finding it much easier now. I also had another miscarriage between my boys. It's really not nice is it, but I am very lucky to have 2 lovely boys. Hope to hear good news from you soon!Proud to be dealing with my debts0
