Any suggestions of where I can sell my Brand new Graco Mosiac travel system.

I brought it a couple of months ago and I think due to my hormones I've changed my mind and want a different one.

I know there's ebay but anywhere else?

ps, i have got my scan booked in for 16th Jan when i will be 7 weeks (if dtaes are right, if not ill be 6 weeks and 6 days)
has any1 else had a scan so early im panicking now as MIL says they wont see anything and will send me away and scan me later ?
have done a google image search and found some pics of 7 weeks scans and it says you can hear hbeat at 7 weeks. i will be approx 7 weeks but periods havent been v regular after MC
  • Scans have probably advanced quite a lot since your MIL was having children. I imagine they wouldn't accept you for a scan if they thought they wouldn't be able to see anything. I had a scan at seven weeks and you could see the baby (looked the shape of a baked bean) and you could see a little flashing bit which we were told was the heart beating.

Don't you just love MILs? The NHS wouldn't spend time and money doing something that wouldn't be any use, so don't listen to what anyone else says. I know it's hard not to worry, but try to stay calm.

Lots of (unqualified) people will have opinions and give you advice - I always say "Thanks for that. It's interesting to have another point of view," and then ignore them - works a treat!!

Punky - I had a box of ginger biscuits by the bed and ate two every morning before I got up. It's key to do it before you get upright, but this was enough to stave off the sickness so I could have some breakfast. I've also heard that the travel sickness bands can help. Hope you're feeling better soon.

LOL, MIL works on the ward where the EPU runs so she does have some experience, although, as hubby points out, she is an auxiliary and isnt qualified to be telling me things!
she always says "oh" after everything and thats it and im like "oh what??!!"

thanks Susan for the info on your scan, did you get a picture?
im told i wont have a dating scan after it, if they can date it (and see anything) when i go so would be nice to have the picture that others get at the dating scan, though probly wont see much i suppose!

also, might be a really dumb question, but can morning sickness be feeling really really sick but not actually been sick? i feel sicky, all day, and it comes in waves, can be perfectly fine one minute then next im rushing for th loo/door/exit to throw up, although never actually been sick.

Oh emma! Firstly, they may do a vaginal scan, because the womb is still within the pelvis at that stage. Or they may try an abdominal scan first. People can be scanned at 6 weeks fairly easily with vaginal ultrasound so I think your MIL is talking doodoo! Give your midwife or EPU a phone to get some advice, then you can rub her nose in it. My (wellmeaning but a bit thoughtless) MIL has already told me all about her relative who had such bad post-natal depression she never bonded with her children and died depressed, and about the TWO people she knows who went for a scan only to be told there was nothing there. Like I really need to hear that! I just try really hard to do what Lu T does - say thanks, and then ignore them.

As for the sickness, all I got was waves of queasiness but never actually vomiting. I don't think actually throwing up is as common as it sounds.

We must all be mad to be enduring this misery, eh?! :rotfl:

    LOL thankyou!!

well they have booked me in for jelly on belly ultrasound! but wasndered if that shows nothing, do they do an internal scan that day or just send you on your way and get you back in after a week or so (which would be awful wait!)

reason i ask about sickness is apparently its a good sign .. and i want good signs!
i go hot and then dizzy and queasy loads during day but no actual vomitting

i am soo pleased to be pregnant, but im sure i will see it as "endurance" at some point !

I got queasiness, but was only actually sick once or twice. All good signs by the sounds of it.

Although it may feel like a marathon, when you finally get there it's amazing. Can't wait until you girls can join us in the MSE parents club.

Will keep everything crossed that scans go well. :o
