i can sympathise 100% with you worrying about a missed MC, i had a MC lasy yr and didnt find out till dating scan, which was at 15weeks. now i find myself preg again im soo paranoid about the scan and just want to know. in my case it was a blighted ovum, which is basically where the fetus never starts to develop, so i had sac etc but no baby growing, all i want to see on my scan is that there is a baby there!
i had a long wait for my scan and got fed up, i rang the hosp switchboard and aksed for pregnancy ultrasound and they told me over phone whenscan was............didnt receive letter for another 2 weeks! so you could try that, they might have booked your scan just not posted the letter yet (im a student nurse and know from exp they dot post letters till they HAVE to LOL)

i have been referred so hoping to have a scan in a couple of weeks but want to know when scan is already!

ps we have only told parents so far and wont be spreading the news unitl i have had a scan , even then will wait as long as possible

Emma B, I know exactly how you feel, I MC'd In Oct 2006 not knowing I was pregnant and then found out I was pregnant again in Dec. I'm just over 7 weeks gone and paranoid too! Already had a threatened miscarriage this time but it stopped fortunately but due to see the midwife for first time on Monday. Thanks for the info about an earlier scan, will ask her. I'm glad I'm not the only one who worries about every little thing when in the early stages!

hi Claire, ask your midwofe to refer you for an early scan, she should do it..plead its for your sanity! I am worrying over every little thing, whivh is ironic as last time i was so chilled out and even spotting didnt worry me i was all "yer its okay you can get this/that..chill out every1" now im constantly checkig when i go to loo for spotting, worrying at every cramp..and i know it isnt good for me and im really trying to relax, long baths, talking to my OH about it, but when you have had a negative experience its so hard isnt it?

Hopefully my scan should be week after next, when i will be approx 7 weeks. but they did say i might not get another till the 20 week one.

Good luck with the midwife i havent made an appointment yet, waiting till after scan

Hello :wave: Just logged onto this forum for the first time. You usually find me flying over on the OS board. I have a DS aged 3 1/2 and this is my third pregnancy as I miscarried at 14 weeks last May. I'm extremely scared - more than first time around and feel contantly sick and lethargic like my first pregnancy but unlike my second so I think that bodes well Any tips on coping with the sickness much appreciated. Hope I've done this right.
