Welcome Valentine! Congrats on your impending arrival. So starts the long journey through morning sickness, varicose veins, heartburn and extreme lethargy - enjoy!

Only kidding, being pregnant is great. I'm just freaked out 'cos I logged on to the Prima Baby site and see my due date is only 36 days away. 5 weeks sounds like so much longer...

  • I'm new to posting here, I'm expecting my 1st baby due around the 28th March 07. Married for 5 years and a big fan of bargains especially since becoming preg.

I can't believe how quickly the time is flying by as I'm 21 weeks already and having my scan on Tuesday.

Another discount for you all. Jojo Maman Bebe is offering 15% off their winter collection.

Call 0870 241 0560 or visit the website https://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk and quote discount code MTD62. :money:

Welcome to the club ahunts. Hope all is well when you have your scan. I was amazed at how much you could see. We actually saw the chambers of the heart beating, her having a drink (including swallowing) and her bladder filling up with the fluid! Truly an amazing time, well worth feeling like you're going to wet yourself for nearly an hour!

Anyone got any advice about where I can buy good value breastfeeding tops? There isn't much about on e-bay in my size.

I just want a couple that I can wear when I'm out and about, save me showing off too much flesh!

I know Blooming Marvellous, Jojo Maman Bebe and H&M mama do them, but any other ideas? Thanks ladies!

I've been keeping an eye out for these too, and did find two in H&M Mama for £15 each. I think it depends on how much you want to pay, and what size you need as to the best (or only!) place to buy them.

http://www.budget-bumps.co.uk/acatalog/Nursing.html has some vests, but they only go up to 14/16.

prices start at £17.99 for tops from the nct, and sizes vary.

Just a little word of warning. With my first pregnancy I bought a supply of nursing bras and tops suitable for breastfeeding, also a breastpump. Then when daughter was born we couldn't get on with breastfeeding at all, she couldn't latch on properly and I ended up in agony with weeping blood blisters.

Tried to breastfeed my newborn again this time but gave up again within 48 hours when the same problems started to occur.

All I'd say is not to spend too much on any breastfeeding stuff before you know everything is ok with it :)

A lot of companies want to make profit from women's anxieties about breastfeeding, to be honest.

Once you do start breastfeeding you will be surprised by how discreet it actually is and how little flesh is ever seen whilst wearing ordinary clothes.

Obviously standard nighties in hospital aren't very practical :o but any other tops and normal clothes are just as easy and discreet to use for breastfeeding.

I find black tops are best as you can't see the creases when there pulled up with them being dark!
