Becles I'm sure you know from your previous children, but from what i've been experiencing lately the urge to pee gets worse and worse. My bladder must be shrinking with all the pressure.

It's the first 12 or so weeks that are the worst until your womb rises above your pelvis, then it's bad again at the end when baby's head goes into your pelvis. Previously I was ok on the inbetween time!
Here I go again on my own....

Can anyone reccommend a breast pump?

Are electric one's easier to use than manual?

I use the Medela mini electric pump which works ok for me. It is quite noisy ie you can't hear the tv. But it sends Libby to sleep and she cries sometimes when i turn it off. Haven't used a manual pump but i think they must make your arm ache after a while
  • Congratulations Jane !:D
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.
  • Congrats to all those newly pregnant and those who've recently given birth!

Not been on for a while (morning sickness reappeared for a bit - HOW unfair at this stage!) but I thought I'd just let you know Baby D is still on the inside, 2 days late. After everyone including the consultant told me I'd be 2 weeks early!

I actually started having quite strong contractions from 6am on the tenth, (due date) but they didn't really become regular. Still having them now, but at this stage it's just making me tired and grumpy as I've had 2 really bad nights now! Mother Nature giving me some practice for later I suppose!

Everything I could possibly do has been done - hubby is on the golf course as he might as well enjoy one last round! Aside from doing some baking and maybe having a long hot bath, does anyone have any ideas what I could do to keep busy that I'll miss later? We're in quite a rural area in the north of Scotland here so unfortunately things like the big cinema and shopping complexes are too far away from the hospital at this stage.

I'll keep you updated if anything does happen - otherwise I've been booked for a sweep on 15th, then an induction on 20th Nov, so at the very latest Baby D should be here on the 21st!:o

Good luck to all those TTC and especially those in the early stages,

    Ellie (Downsizing)

Lay on the sofa, and close your eyes. Listen carefully. What can you hear? It's nothing. Lay they for a while and savour it. You won't be hearing that again for a very long time :D

Is there anything you could do in advance for Christmas, like wrapping presents or writing cards (leaving a space to add baby's name!)? It'll save you some time next month when you'll be busy and tired with baby.

Hope all goes well when Baby D finally arrives. Will be thinking of you.

    Hi!

I hope this isn't an inappropriate thing to do, but I have some baby clothes to offer to anyone who could use them!

They are 2 outfits from Mothercare for size 'tiny baby' - up to 7.5lbs/3.4kg - with Thomas The Tank Engine on them. Each outfit is a t-shirt (one red, one green) with a thomas picture and a pair of shorts that are dark blue with the corresponding colour (red or green!) trim. They are in very good condition and look like they've hardly been worn.

I have attempted to ebay them with no luck, I can send the auction link in a pm if you want to see the pics but I don't want to post it here. Please don't think I'm trying to promote my auction... its finished now and I have no intention to relist!

I hope that someone will get some use out of them, either now or to add to their stuff for when baby arrives - or knows someone who could use them.

First to pm me gets them!!

If I have no takers they'll have to go to the charity shop!

Totally agree with Becles. Make the most of it. Look after youself as you won't have much time for yourself once the baby arrives. Definitely prepare for christmas
