    Morning Diary,

1st day of the holidays and we have no plans :j.

The kids got up at 7am so DH gave them their breakfast before going to work and brought me up a cup of tea in bed which was nice! Im up now though and the house is still pretty tidy from yesterday. We all had an early night last night and I do feel better for it. DD1 now has a really heavy cold, hope it goes for the weekend!

I think we will pop into town to pay in the £2 coins today. Im sure DD's will have something to say about that but its tough it needs doing!

Don't think I've much else to report really xx

    Afternoon Diary,

I'm back! So we've been to the bank this morning to pay in the £2 coins, I've booked some activities for the weekend using them, feels better that its all saved up for.

We popped to the butchers after and spent £12 on chicken, mince, braising steak, teacakes, cream and tomatoes which I think its a good deal. Came home and had a bacon and mushroom sandwich for lunch which was delicious!

Just going to do some activities with DD2 now or else she will be moaning she's 'booorrrrreeeeeddddd' before long!!!

Thats about all from me, hope all ok xx

Wow can't believe I'm back for a 3rd post today.. usually I'm lucky if I do 3 a week ha!!

Spent the afternoon doing a few activities with DD2, she appreciated it which I knew she would.
Hung my washing on the airer and then cooked tea, we had chicken tikka masala with rice and pittas, that was nice.

Just had to do a quick shop to be delivered tomorrow morning as the cupboards were just totally bare! I can't believe how much we seem to have gone through, that will serve me right for boasting about a £30 shop last week :rotfl:. Its come in at £57 all in so not too bad, I will still need to pop to Mr A's whilst the girls are at gymnastics Weds for some pizzas and other bits to take to C.parcs with us.

Thats all from me for today. Hope every who is off has enjoyed the first day xx

  • Morning Diary,

Im enjoying a rare chilled out morning here! The kids are playing together nicely at the moment. Was going to take them out for the morning but since they're playing so nicely who am I to disturb the peace ;).

Had my shopping delivered without a hitch and now my cupboards and fridge are looking a bit more like it.

Were having braising steak for tea so will put that in after tea, so looking forward to it haven't cooked it in ages. Will also make a bolognaise for tomorrows tea whilst I'm at it.

Thats it really, nothing much to report xx

  • Hi, sounds like half term is going nicely. My two were playing together today as well, it's so rare that I almost want to take a photo!

You are so close to that 50% paid off mark, well done and keep going.

    Morning Diary,

Cant believe were mid week already, nooo im enjoying the time off too much.

Chrysalis, thanks for popping in. Weve really taken our foot off the pedal with regards to paying off the debt :o. Think we will be sticking at the 50% mark for some time!!!

So yesterday me and the kids went out to the park after lunch which blew away some cobwebs!! They asked to pop to the shops for some sweets, so I said they could but had to use some of their own money which they were more than happy with. We had braising steak for tea which was delish and I also made a bolognaise for tonights tea.

So today were going to see a friend and her son. Havent seen them since the summer so that will be nice. Kids at gymnastics tonight so il pop to Mr A's for a few supplies whilst theyre there.

    Hope everyones ok xx

  • Morning Diary,

    Thursday already.. no way!

So we enjoyed we went to friends and stayed until lunch time, it was lovely to see them both. She was due a baby earlier in the week and looked ready to pop! Felt really sorry for her!!
Embarrassed to say I spent £67 in Mr A last night mostly on !!!! to take with us at the weekend :o. I did buy the girls some new socks and underwear as all their socks seem to end up in the bin recently due to holes etc.

So today its mainly a day getting ready for tomorrow, filling up the car with petrol etc. Im so excited to see the girls faces tomorrow when we tell them!! They're happily watching TV and drawing in their pjs at the mo. Im all ready but might aswell leave them whilst they're happy! Ive told them we will have sandwiches for lunch and then pop out. Im happily sat here with a cuppa and an egg custard :D!!

Ive done some of the ironing and need to do some more when it comes off the airer tonight. Ive also put our bedding into wash so will put that in the TD when its finished. The weather is wet and foggy here today, can't be doing with miserable weather!!!

Im quite impressed with the lack of activities we've paid for this week. Usually I would have taken them to the cinema or soft play but with us spending quite a bit on this weekend I've made sure I haven't spent much.

Thats all from me, heating still off!!! Hoping for a good credit next week when I do the meter readings xx
