Hi mummytogirls
I've started putting our heating on in the morning for an hour in the morning jus to take the edge off the chill! I don't want to fall into the habit of having it on all the time though.
I'm jealous of your homemade Chinese..... I may have to add that to my meal plan this week!0 -
Evening Diary,
DH is watching Homeland which I never got into so I'm on here!!! Just got back from some light show in the town centre. Kids enjoyed it and they've gone straight to sleep... who's betting they won't get up in the morning?
Alice that made me chuckle that you said about payday cos every now and then I go back in my diary to see what I was up to this time 2 years ago etc and I did that this morning. 2 years ago we were on about our pay dates being in sync haha!!
New me, all we do for the HM chinese is when we get a takeaway we always get a couple of extra curry sauces and freeze them. Then we will make a chicken curry and egg fried rice. Feels like the real deal with it being the real curry sauce!
Don't think I've much else to report. 2 more weeks to work before a week off :j xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up. Looks like the winter bugs have started, had DD1 off school today with sickness. I went to work this morning, DH worked from home then we swopped over at lunchtime. Its so good that we can do that. Just hoping DD2 doesn't come down with it, but no doubt she will, just in time for the weekend!
Nothing much to report really. Put the heating on for an hour this evening as it felt a bit chilly and now the days are a bit more grim Ive noticed the clothes not drying as well on the airer.
Got an evoucher from Mr T's offering me £12 off last night so I used it straight away and the shopping is coming this evening between 8 and 9. Wish id booked it earlier now but hey ho.
Payday today :j hope everyones ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Sorry to hear your dd is poorly
my ds has not been right today either, there are so many bugs going around at the moment.
I've caved and started putting my heating on, I try for an hour in the morning and an hour for the evening if it starts getting chilly. We were at home all day today so I also put it on about 1ish as I was freezing!0 -
Afternoon Diary,
Just killing time whilst DD gets ready for gymnastics! They both usually go but DD1 will come to Mr A's with me tonight as she won't be allowed to go.
Got my shopping delivered last night and I felt like I got so much for my money. Worked out at £67, should have been over £80 but I had vouchers to knock off. Need to pop to Mr A's for the stuff I knew I could get cheaper :money:
Hope your DS is feeling better New me and I hope it doesn't go round the others.
So the weather here is awful today. My washing really isn't drying on the airer so I've had to move some of the thicker stuff into the airing cupboard. Ive also done my ironing today so thats all up to date. Some of the things that were almost dry I ironed and then just put on the radiator to dry fully. Then at least that way I can hang them straight up when they're fully dry.
DD1 went to mils today and she will be going back to school tomorrow as she's totally fine now. I picked her up an hour earlier than I should have finished so will try go into work early to make up my hours tomorrow and Friday, either that or il stay extra at the end.
Hope everyones ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Evening Diary,
Wow I can't believe I posted nearly a week ago, I'm sure I posted the other day!!!
Well thats the last Monday done before half term. We have a training day on 3rd November so I won't work another Monday until 3 weeks today.
Nothing too much to report, heating still off. I think the unusually warm weather we had over the weekend is on its way out now and the cold weather is starting. I noticed it taking the kids to breakfast club this morning. I really need to get the kids curtains and linings washed and put back up. We took them down the other week when we had a clear out and you can really feel the difference in their bedroom.
Our LED lights which we ordered Friday night were delivered to the Am@zon locker today. We spent quite a bit on them but they use a considerably less amount of electricity so hoping to see a drop in the electricity bill. 2 of DDs birthday presents also came, just waiting for the rest of the now.
Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Afternoon Diary,
3 more days until half term... roll on Friday!!
Only thing to report is that its a NSD. Haven't really been counting them so not sure what number but it seems a rare occasion lately so thought id best report it!!! Have posted an ebay parcel but since the buyer pays postage I'm not counting that.
My washing seems to be drying really well, although its cold today its very sunny which in turn is making my house nice and warm.
Nothing much else to report, hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up.
So its now DD2s turn to be poorly, had to collect her from school today as she's got a terrible cough and full of cold. She's still able to start a fight with her sister though! Hoping that a good nights sleep will do her good. Ive put the heating on tonight for an hour as its quite chilly and with her coughing away I don't want it affecting her. Im quite wheezy with the dampness outside tonight, need to take my inhaler.
So she accompanied me to Mr A's whilst DD1 went to gymnastics. I was super strict with myself as I have spent too much of the grocery money over the past week and we had loads in. I mainly stuck to my list and I only spent £30 which is fab for me!!! It just shows though does it ha!!
Don't think I've anything else to report, 2 days to go!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning MTG,
I have some serious catching up to do on your diary, but thought I would do a quick post just to say hi.
Glad I'm not the only one desperate for half-term to start. :T
Hope your Dd feels better soon, I am always desperate to get mine away from the germs near half-terms, hoping they won't be ill during their break.
Well done on £30 food shop, takes serious willpower to only spend that small amount nowadays xxx0 -
Our half term has just finished. The kids went back on Tuesday. Little Miss Gap was not impressed. I think it was because we had such a great weekend that she didn't want it to be over. Neither did I, truth be told...Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76
300 271 payments to go.House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000
