  • Afternoon Diary,

Had a busy morning at work but got some good news... I've had my hours up'd by 4.5 a week starting next week! Came home and swept and mopped downstairs and also cleaned the bathrooms... now I'm sitting down with a culpa before the madness starts again at 3!

Going to have a few expensive months as its all the birthdays coming up so I'm already looking forward to end of January when we can start saving again :rotfl:!!

    Hope everyones ok x

  • Fantastic news about the extra hours, take care.x.
  • Evening Diary,

Hope everyones ok! Nothing too exciting to report today, except its a NSD! Called into MIL's after work as DH's nan had made a pie for tea, it was soooo nice and tastes even better when you just have to put it in the oven!!

Payday in 5 days :T. I also received a £20 off voucher from Mr T's today after I did a few shops during an offer period with them over the summer. That will come in handy next week!

Think thats all really... nearly Friday xx

  • Evening Diary,

Just over a week since I posted and it feels ages ago!!

So last weekend we ended up on a last minute camping trip. Weather wasn't great but it was dry and it was nice to be away. I am feeling thankful for a weekend at home with only a few plans this weekend!!!

So it was payday Tuesday, done the usual shopping, filling up the car etc. Spent quite a lot on food actually but the cupboards and full and we have plenty of meat in the freezer. Spent:

    £13 in the butchers
    £21 in Tesco
    £54 in Morrisons
    £16 in the farmshop

Ive started my extra hours this week and I've really noticed a difference in the amount of mess that seems to appear around my house!! I don't get those extra hours on an afternoon to do the housework but id rather be getting paid than at home doing house work :rotfl:.

Tomorrow I have booked us some cinema tickets at the cheap Saturday morning showing. £5.40 for a few hours out which isn't to be sniffed at! Then a further £3 on popcorn and sweets to take with us and we will take drinks from home.

Just booking the car in for the handbrake adjusting and the front brakes doing before we go away at October HT. October is looking like an expensive month. Both the swimming and gymnastics fees are due plus the annual membership to british gymnastics and the club! Plus its DD1s 8th birthday although since were going away to C.parcs I'm not going wild this year and she's not having a party. Roll on end of Octobers pay :rotfl:

    Hope everyones ok x

  • Afternoon Diary,

Just popping in to say hello!

The good news for today is that my 0nepoll money has been paid so I've just transferred it over to my account.

Just having 5 mins on here and then making tea, reggae chicken tonight yum!

    Hope everyones ok x

  • Glad the 0nepoll money came through for you.
  • Thanks Pennywise :D.

So I've made 2 teas tonight, tonights and tomorrows as I forgot id frozen a whole pack of chicken breasts together so had to defrost them all together. Made fahitas in a sauce for tomorrow which in turn will make it easier as the girls have gymnastics tomorrow and we don't get in until late.

Ive been round tidying up and the girls have been brought in earlier as its been pouring down with rain. The curtains are drawn, lamps are on and its all cosy :).

DD2 is in the bath, DD1 up next and then DH should be back from his bike ride to read their story to them. I love it when I get all organised!!!

    xx

  • Evening Diary,

Hope everyones had a good weekend.

Ive had a busy weekend as usual! Last week the highlight of my week was buying an airer!!! I don't tend to use the TD anyway but DH moans when I put all the washing round the radiators. My plan is to have the airer in the study which is at the back of the house which gets all the sun. Its a small room and I will just leave the window open to stop any condensation etc.

So Ive been out most of the weekend! Was out for MIL's birthday Friday and then my friends yesterday. I was not feeling too good in the night due to alcohol :o! Thats it now I've no planned nights out so I will be enjoying a few weekends in.

It was really nice today and I didn't even get any washing out as I was a bit rough, this actually makes me mad haha!!!

Thats about all really. Hope everyones ok x

    Afternoon Diary,

Wow here we are at Friday again and now in October .
I am absolutely shattered today, had a really busy week and feeling it today, I found it soooo hard to wake up this morning!

So I'm just having 5 minutes before I collect the girls. We've also got DD1s friend coming for tea.

Did my meter readings the other day and I've just logged on to see my balance and I'm £80 in credit which I'm pleased with. Hopefully if we can keep the heating off another month we will build up more of a credit. We have some expensive light fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms and the light bulbs use a lot of electricity. DH is saying something about changing all the bulbs to LED or something. Hopefully that will see us having a reduction in our elec bill! The outlay will be quite pricey but they last a while.

So this weekend I can't even have a relaxing one as we've got a decluttering weekend planned . Our cross trainer went last night so thats £50 in DH's new bike fund. If we end up selling anything of the kids I will buy them some new clothes with this money.
We've decided on eating out for tea tomorrow as we won't be bothered to cook when we've been busy decluttering all day!!!

Hope everyones ok, happy weekend xx
