Sunday is my "day of rest". I usually do a wash load but nothing else really unless there is something in particular that has to be done. I always feel ill on Sundays. Yesterday we had a lie in but when we did get up we went out and I felt great for it. I think the secret for me is to rest properly but not take the whole day off

            Morning Diary,
Right im definitely on countdown back to work now... less than 2 weeks
. Yesterday we had a busy day and I had to set my alarm as DD had a drs appointment early. I did not appreciate this haha!! I acually didnt realise it was my alarm at first I havent heard it for that long.
It was payday for me yesterday and it was quite spendy to say the least.
£70 on school shoes. £57 on petrol and £61 on the shopping. I collected the shopping from Mr Ts and it was very convenient as I was down that end of town. The guy was very friendly and I would do it again should I be down that end of town. My fridge looked bare and it did totally highlight to me that I spend less online. Usually my fridge is full of kids yoghurts, pepperamis, babybels etc and this time it wasnt. They still have lots of fruit and snacks in though so I dont feel bad.
Gap, I would love a lie in but the kids just do not allow past 8am... which I now see as a lie in haha!!! Im glad youve found your balance.
So today, I need to pop to the farmshop for some meat and eggs. Then me and a neighbour are taking the kids to a teddy bears picnic in the village.
Ive also got a load of towels in the washer to peg out as its going to be a pretty nice day. I dont know if anyone in the north has noticed but late afternoon the temperature really drops and it comes quite chilly. Not cold enough to put the heating on but chilly enough to think brrr haha!!!
Hope everyones ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning mummy, I'm on countdown too, DS has got to the bored stage though and Iwill be glad to see him back in school.
I have noticed the weather is getting cooler in the evening and first thing in the morning, has an autumnal feel to it, looks like we are on the road to autumn.0 -
            Hi MTG
Sorry I haven't posted here for a while, but i have been lurking
Well done on being so thrifty with the holiday spends money :T. Reading about your school shoes spend just reminded me that I have to buy Ds some new shoes, we threw his in the bin at the start of the summer holidays, they had all but fallen apart. Got to brace myself for that expense
.
Two weeks left of your holidays is still a decent amount of time to enjoy. Will be hard getting back into the old routine though.
I had to laugh at your classing 8am as a lie in, I am the same. In fact anything beyond 830am feels really naughty haha.
hope you have a nice day planned. xx0 -

Mine definitely don't want to go back yet and nor do I, although I've worked 3 days this week, I hate leaving the kids again.
Well done on the grocery spends. Enjoy the rest of the day.

            Morning Diary,
Lovely logging on this morning to see all my lovely visitors from yesterday
.
Pennywise, it definitely is getting that autumnal feeling about it! Im not ready for that yet though ha!!
Steph, I love how lie in times change as the kids get older!!! Hope DS's shoes dont cost too much.
Gap, I cant wait for this day purely for the lie ins haha!!
Chrysalis, do you work term time generally? This is my first 6 weeks with the kids as I started my new job in September last year. I thought they would drive me up the wall but actually weve really enjoyed ourselves!
So yesterday was a small spend day. Went to the farmshop and spent £9 on chicken kievs, minced steak and some cornish pasties and sausage rolls for tonights tea. I dont think thats bad as we will got 4 meals out of these things I bought.
Then we went to the event at our local gallery which was all free. The kids enjoyed a few hours out and most importantly it was all free. I love that I can still get away with taking them to these things, give it a few years and they wont entertain these kids of things.
Ladies ive got an announcement for you all that youre going to love..... my washing basket was empty yesterday morning :T:rotfl:!!!
Its got stuff in it again now but it felt good at the time haha!! Its all been ironed and put back away.
Today the weathers a bit rubbish here and im waiting for the post man as ive ordered a few things from there recently. Going to pop and see my nephew this afternoon as my sisters back at work next week and hes going to full time nursery so wont get to see him as much
.
Ive been keeping up with 0nepoll and im now at £38.25.
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -

Wow an empty washing basket, that truly is an achievement well done!
I officially work all year round but I manage to take my leave in the holidays and over the summer cram as much as possible into a couple of days and then have a couple of days admin at home which is definitely needed. It's great that I can be so flexible as some of my learners work at night or weekends so I can work around that too.
1poll getting closer and closer, I'm still waiting for payment from mine.

Hi Mummy, hope you have a good 2 weeks before you have to go back to work! Horrid weather here so it feels like summer is actually already over. I had a lazy day yesterday much like the one you described although I went clothes shopping for a couple of hours with DD
still that was nice and not stressful and DH had to do the dinner/lunch/breakfast and washing and all he did was complain about how everyone takes him for granted and he wasn't doing anything else :rotfl: I guess that's what I must sound like most days
and he just usually sits there ignoring me so I gave him a taste of his own medicine haha!
Good luck on getting enough for onepoll is it £50 pay out?! xx0
