            Afternoon Diary,
This is all I ever seem to say but I cant believe nearly another week has gone by since me posting.
Had a really busy week, I feel like im running at about 100mph at the minute. If im not at work, im dashing home to tidy round, pop to school for something or other (sports days this week), taxi-ing the kids to various activities, parties etc. Theyve got 1 now every week for 5 weeks!!!
So ive got 8 days left to do at work. Not making any plans for after work and then I can stay if needs be. Il feel happier that way that everythings been tied off etc. Its a full day for me tomorrow so hoping to get some big year end jobs out the way.
Went to the entertainer yesterday and some bargain presents for the parties mentioned above.
Today ive got the house back in ship shape... for how long I dont know!!! Just hung a load of washing out which should hopefully be dry in now time as its quite warm and also very breezy today.
Moneywise not looking too bad although could have done without a splurge of curry and drinks with a friend last night.
Doing fahitas for tea and also got some nice chocolate puddings to have with ice cream to have after tea.
Ive also set up a little set of rules for the holidays for the kids. Basically they get an icecream from the van a few times a week but since I dont let them have it every night they can choose what they want... this is costing me a fortune because they choose really expensive items. So ive decided to let them each earn some pocket money each week so spend at the icecream van when he comes round over the holidays. Im going to give them each £5 at the beginning of every week and its up to them whether they choose wisely and spread it out or have a few splurges and then have to wait the following Monday to restart with their money. I can see some peoples hair curling at me giving them £5 each a week but I think il probably end of saving money in the long run! Plus they are learning a lesson and I bet theyll only spend it all quickly once! Ive made it clear that once the £5 is gone its gone!!!
Thats about all from me anyway. Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
            Evening Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up whilst ive got some peace!! DD2 watching TV, DD1 in the bath and DH out for a cycle.
Nothing much to report really. Managing to keep on top of the house work this week which im happy with.
Only 6 more days to work!!!
Tried to do some surveys tonight but computer says no so cant help that.
I also made a fool of myself early chasing up some cashback... id got the date completely wrong so its not due yet... doh!!! I felt a bit silly, luckily I didnt go in there all guns blazing.
Hope all ok anyway xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening mummy, I do envy you being on top of the housework, my house looks like a bomb has gone off, can't wait to break up so I can tackle it all.0

My house did look like that on Sunday morning Pennywise!! It was driving me mad. I spent 3 hours getting it back ship shape, then DH was off yesterday so hoovered round and ive done it again today. This house would be so tidy and clean without a hairy labrador and 2 kids :rotfl: xxMummytogirls x0

            Hi,
Sounds like a good plan r.e. the pocket money, the kids expect that they can have little things all the time but those little things add up to big things! My plan for the holiday is to have a different theme each week then do one day of fact finding, one day of creating pictures or models about the topic and one day with a day trip. So far we have castles, animals, aeroplanes and space.
I'm the same with the housework, so busy during term time that it is a good thing we don't have many visitors to witness the havoc!
I have 3 days to work this week then one day of athletics camp each week which will be fun, hope your last days go well.

LMG gets £10 per week pocket money (she is 13). When it's gone, it's gone. If she wants to go to the cinema / bowling / shopping / lunch with friends then it has to come out of that. She doesn't even ask me for anything as she knows the rule. Sometimes I treat her to little things and it is lovely to see how grateful she is when I do. She was taking everything for granted before I started that.
I pay it into her bank account on a Wednesday morning. She has a debit card so can either take it out the ATM or spend it straight off the card. Works really well in our house and it was definitely one of my better decisions. She even pays for small birthday/Christmas presents for us with it. She seems to budget really well. Although she does get spoiled by her grandparents! They sneak her the odd £1 or 2 here and there

            Afternoon Diary,
Well its been well over a week since I last posted and im absolutely shattered!!! Last week the girls had already broke up so DH was off with them, I didnt break up until Wednesday and then we were straight off camping on Thursday. Im definitely feeling it today now that I can sit down for 5 mins! Even though I was at work until 2pm we still had to do something with the girls which was hard going. Dont think DH had taken into consideration that I was actually still at work and had lots to finish off.
So it was payday last Tuesday and we havent really spent much with not being here. The kids have done really well with their money and still have well over a pound left which surprises me. I definitely think it will be a good think for them to control a small amount of money each week.
Ive had a couple of £2 coins recently and had lost count of how much I had so totted it up this morning and ive now got £90 and then £7 in other change. My target was £100 by end of October so im expecting to smash that!
Havent had chance to enjoy the holidays yet as weve been so busy, looking forward to the next week ahead to chill out a bit more.
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
            Morning Diary,
Well today is very overcast here, still not to let that stop me pegging out! Got our bedding out at the minute and another wash load in.
So yesterday we went to the park with a picnic, spent £8 on ice creams and also the kids having a go on one of those big bouncy slide things. Not bad for 5 hours out IMO.
This morning weve been out to the opticians and also a card shop in Mr M's, got 5 cards for less than £2. It still amazes me how much you can get in that shop for very little money! Long gone are the days of spending loads on cards.
Just taxed the car, that comes round quick doesnt it!
DD1 has got a party this afternoon at her friends and I need to pop into work with DD2. I feel really cheesed off about having to go in even if it will be literally 10 minutes! The person who I took over from would have never done this and the head would have stepped in but our new head s*ds off on holiday for over 4 weeks so theres no-one else to do it and if I dont it will mean one of the teachers cant start in September.
Then we will pop to the local farmshop for some fruit. Ive never had a problem with the fruit from Mr M's but last week it was particularly bad so im going to the farmshop instead.
Think thats all, will make a start on catching up with other diaries now xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy thats pants that you have to go into work, can you claim for time that you are in.0
 -
            Morning Diary,
Pennywise, no not really as we are not allowed to claim overtime anymore since people were abusing it! From September though I will definitely be leaving on time and taking my time back if needs be as theyve had more than their fair share out of me in this last half term. I was only there for 10 minutes so not too bad, but I do need to keep my eye on my emails incase of any issue. Until I know the DBS is back, I wont feel happy!!
So yesterday wasnt the best day weather wise but we still went out and about and I got a load of washing line dried.
Went and did the shopping at Mr M's and spent £60 which seems to be our average weekly amount so not bad.
Today its chucking it down with rain. Havent got much planned for today, weve got a couple of appointments to make and then I think we will go to the kids fun swims this afternoon.
Its DH's payday today so the account is looking lovely!!
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0
