Evening Diary,
Hope everyones had a good week. We've bought the girls Christmas presents today. Managed to get DD1 an iPad mini for £209 and DD2 an iPod touch for £139, we've been waiting for the black friday deals to see if we could save anything before buying them. Saved £30 so better than nothing! Thats the girls done now, just a few extra bits to buy for other family members and then the all important wrapping too!! Does not feel like Christmas is nearly here!!
Did everyone see the carnage that the black Friday deals caused?! Im all for a bargain but no way would I ever put myself in a position like that. Silly people!
So tomorrow we need to pop out and get something for tea tomorrow night, we've got friends over which I'm looking forward to. Also looking after my nephew in the afternoon, thats going to be hard work as he's into absolutely everything now!!!
Thats about all from me anyway. Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Well done on getting some good deals!
Don't know what upset me more, the eejits fighting over Black Friday deals, or the eejits saying they'd rather pay full price than 'lower themselves' to go shopping for bargains!!. Surely somewhere in the middle, ie grab bargains whenever you can whilst maintaining dignity and decorum, is optimum!!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I avoided Black Friday and said to DH that I would rather pay slightly more and shop sensibly in my own time.
I won't be paying full price for any Xmas presents but should still get some great bargains.
You got some great deals there mummy:T0 -
Afternoon Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up, got DD1 unwell again, although shes perked up today. Shes had really bad runs, I mean to the point where she just had to be constantly sat on the toilet. Never experienced anything quite like before and to be honest I doubt the curry we had for tea will have helped matters!! Im am getting really sick of these bugs now, this is the 7th bout of illness weve had since mid October it really is getting out of hand. They eat well, they always wash hands etc and I really dont know what else to do. Ive been obsessed this morning (like I always do when theres a tummy bug in the house) and been round cleaned light switches, door handles etc. This is DD1's 4th lot of illness, its really unlike her to pick up everything going.
I understand what you are saying Pennywise, youre right about bargains. EE I think we are all good at not paying full price anymore, although we didnt manage to save anything on the ipod. Weve really exhausted all avenues though so not a right lot else we could have done.
DH has been baking with DD2 this morning, hes made some lovely oaty biscuits which are yummy and DD made chocolate buns.
So Christmas, ive just a few presents to buy now. My sister owes me £15 for our mums present but I wont chase her as shes currently in the process of moving house etc. DH is going to set up the ipod and ipad tonight, saving arguments etc on Christmas morning and then I think I will do some wrapping tonight too.
My sister also gave me her discount card for Mr M's which just so happens to have 20% off this Mon-Weds so will be shopping there this week.
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Sorry to hear your dd is poorly again, will you take her back to the docs to get something to shift it?
20% off your shopping sounds good, I had two £5 off vouchers for Mr T's last week which made a big difference.
Hope germs get banished accordingly!

Thanks Chrysalis, its a tummy upset so I don't think they will give anything for it. Ive spoken to the headteacher who's fine about me not going in and she's arranged for my colleague to cover for me tomorrow yet I still feel bad! What the hell is wrong with me!!!! xxMummytogirls x0

Ah it's because you don't like letting people have to fill in for you I bet even though family comes first, don't feel bad one day you'll probably return the favour or help out some other way, it all ends up right.
Hope she has a settled night tonight and can eat a bit tomorrow.

Morning Diary,
Hope everyones ok this morning. So im here with DD who is much better today, shes had some porridge, apple and an oat biscuit and seems ok. Ive been a busy bee this morning, done a load of washing and hung on the airer, ironed, cleaned the bathrooms and hoovered round upstairs. Going to do this floor before lunch and then after lunch I will do the downstairs and mop the floor. The whole house will be sparkling... until DD2 and DH descend on it that is :rotfl:.
Ive taken some kievs out of the freezer for tea and will do those with roast potatoes and veg. Think il buy a chicken on the way to collecting DD2 and put that in the slow cooker for tomorrows tea.
Nothing much to report. Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening Diary,
Hows everyone today? All good here, everyones well which is the main thing!!
So I used my slow cooker today to do a whole chicken and I'm so impressed!! Im really disappointed that I've missed out for all these years with my 1st one being duff ha!! Im planning on a rice pudding next. Keep nosying over on the old style thread for inspiration but not finding much really!!!
Nothing much to report money wise. DH got paid Friday so the joint account looks nice. I get paid next Tuesday and we will finish off the Christmas shopping next week. I wrapped a few bits last night but still got quite a bit to do. Cant actually believe its Christmas this month, just doesn't feel right.
Just popped out to Tesco Expr to get a few bits, jackets for tomorrows tea, milk and paracetamol. Saw the gritters on the way down the hill . Can defo feel the cold now, I really noticed it waiting for the car to warm up after work. Must make sure I take my hat and gloves with me now.
Hope all ok anyway xxMummytogirls x0
