We've had lots of frost here today too. It's definitely winter now

How did you do your chicken in the slow cooker? Did you rest it on anything? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Evening Diary,
Wednesday again!!!! These weeks are totally flying by, can't believe we've just over 2 weeks at school, this half term has just flown by.
So I've been to Mr M's tonight, spent £37 which I'm really pleased with! Didn't take my match and more card but would have got 1100 points so I'm definitely taking it back to get the points added!
PLMBL, I just added a bit of water but my colleague at work told me off and said I should have put some onions and carrots in!! Then I apparently could have made a soup out of the stock in the bottom! Might do this next time!
Im putting porridge in it tonight for tomorrow mornings breakfast. Ive read mixed reviews about this but I'm sure I put enough milk in it should be ok! If it isn't I won't make it again!!
Nothing much more to report. Hope everyones ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Glad dd is feeling better x
Great savings on the xmas presents, I couldn't believe the news of the people fighting and walking over each other absolutely ridiculous it wasn't like the in my local store thank goodness!
I've cooked a few things in the slow cooker but never porridge, it's only me and dd that eat it in the morning so perhaps wouldn't be worth it for me.
Two weeks tomorrow then holiday, yay!

Afternoon Diary,
Hope everyone is well!!
Not too much excitement to report from here. Almost sorted for Christmas, just a few bits to get on Tuesday and then were done. Ive done the wrapping this morning. I think il feel more in the spirit next week when its all sorted.
We break up from school on Friday, I seriously cannot believe how fast this half term has gone, I have blinked and were nearly at the end! Not really got much for the holidays planned. Ive ordered a cookies for santa jar which will keep us busy Christmas eve morning. Need to get some plans made me thinks!!
Thats about all from here really, pretty boring!! Steak for tea is the most exciting thing from today ha xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi MTG,
Friday tomorrow :j. Can't wait for the school run chaos to come to an end for a while, even if it means me having over excited children under my feet all day
:D.
I plan to try to get the presents wrapped up tomorrow during their last school day so i can strike that off the ever increasing list of things that have to be done.
I am trying to construct a meal plan for the days over the Christmas Holiday, we have tesco's coming on Sunday and in previous years i have concentrated on Christmas and Boxing day and then struggled with what meals to cook for the rest of the holidays.
I want to get meals organised so I can relax and not feel the need to keep nipping out for forgotten ingredients
;)
Enjoy your last day of peace and quiet tomorrow before the Christmas holidays start xxxx0 -
Morning Diary,
Yay we made it to the end of term!! Had a great last day yesterday and got loads of gifts from generous people at work!
So where are we at?! Nearly everything is bought, I've ordered 4 things being delivered Monday to Mr A so will collect those, wrap them straight up and thats that! Ive ordered the turkey and that will be available to collect Tuesday or Wednesday. Its a little butchers near my mums so shouldn't be too taxing... she says! Shopping is coming from Mr S on Tuesday evening. DH and I went out shopping on Tuesday and didn't buy everything we needed on the list, just a few things for us and more for DD's
.
Steph, I know exactly what you mean about just concentrating on that day I fall into the same trap as you!!!!
So last night I sat down with a nice glass of wine, much deserved id say!
Not really got much planned for this weekend, kids are already scrapping upstairs so this could be fun. Monday we will go to soft play and then waiting in Tuesday for a parcel so a friend is coming round for a coffee.
Wednesday DH is at work in the morning so will clean up and then where out at the cinema in the afternoon and then going to an italian for tea with some friends. This week will go by in a flash I'm sure!!
Hope everyones ok. Im already looking to the new year to see what improvements I can make with the debt busting. 1 thing is I need to update my signature more often. Will do that 1st January!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi MTG
Glad its not just me that is almost wishing the last of this year gone so I can knuckle down and start planning new debt busting ideas.
I am going to try the envelope system for our food, fuel and fun budgets.
But I feel I also need to make a household budget of maybe £10 per week, this is to cover misc expenses that i never see coming. Then if something is over £10 i can put it on hold until those £10's have saved up.
I will watch you diary for any interesting ideas you come up with xxxx0 -
Yay to end of term and holidays, you sound so organised with your shopping I haven't even written my list for food yet.
I'm starting my money bags to budget the weekly budgets, I might even draw up a savings plan/reasons for budgeting plan to remind the household exactly why we are doing it and what they will get out of it.
Hope you are enjoying your relaxing weekend before a busy week.

Evening Ladies,
Im glad were all looking forward to knuckling down in the new year. I always feel like this at this time of the year, Its DDs birthday November then Christmas, then DD2 and DH's birthdays in January so the most skint 3 months ever!!
I think the cash system would work well, I have tried it myself before but the problem is I just never ever stick to it! Lets stick together ladies and encourage each other on! The £10 fund is also a good idea as theres always something isn't there!
So we've taken the hoover to a little shop down the road today as its making some awful sounds at the mo. Its a little old man who's been there years and the most it will cost is £45 so not too bad. Hopefully its cheaper though!! Then we all went out for a walk to blow away some cobwebs. Was cold but nice just to get out.
Then DH made kievs for tea which was nice. Tea always tastes nicer when someone else makes it!!
Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Ok so in a bid to start off the next financial year well I'm starting looking at surveys on 0nepoll again! Im now up to £1.45!!!!
Ive also started saving my £2 coins again for our holiday spending money and I've saved £4 so far.
1st January will me starting healthy eating too!! By then it will be 28 weeks until we go away and I want to feel my best. I won't be going all out dieting or anything as they really is not me. Just cutting back on the treats etc, then when the weather picks up me and my friend will start walking again. Already looking forward to 2015 although I do wish I didn't wish my life away! xxMummytogirls x0
