  • Wow MTG, what a busy day. I am glad to hear your decorations are down as I was contemplating doing ours tomorrow but worried I was maybe doing it too early.

Hope you enjoyed your cuppa in peace and quiet. I love M&S food but our nearest is 15 miles away and in the centre of town so w don't find ourselves anywhere near if very often. Probably a good job as its not the cheapest place. Hope you find something yummy. xxx
  • All sounding good in here.. DH doesn't want the decs down, but I reckon I'm going to do it tomorrow before we go away on Friday!

  • My decs were down a few days ago - the tree loosing it's needles was driving me mad x
  • Evening All,

Just had tea, pasta bake and garlic bread.. DH cooked again :D, I kind of like him being at home sometimes ha!!

Im glad everyones getting organised with their decs!! Steph, MnS isn't somewhere we would really go either, but with a voucher we might aswell! Enjoyed about half an hour whilst DH and girls were out. Rung sky to cancel movies and our free sky go extra trial and also asked them about when my landline/broadband offer comes to an end. Its 1st Feb so need to ring back at the end of this week so need to do some research in the meantime and see if we change landline/broadband providers. Cant see me ever wanting to leave sky TV. We can't get virgin or any of the others here. We do have freeview but I like the recording facility and on demand with sky.

Going to have a little nosey round on here and then best get showered and clean pjs on! Lazy me!! xx

  • Ooh order in the house, I haven't broached the subject of taking down the tree yet maybe New Years Day!

Hope the kids enjoyed the snow, we had it for 5 minutes then it rained again and yet 1/2 an hour down the road there's a thick covering.

    Enjoy your M&S treats

A friend does the click and collect, she gets all her normal food and turns up a bit earlier and look round the shop to get the bargains and whoopsies pops these bits in the car and drives through to collect the bulk of her shopping.

Well done on getting some good deals!

Don't know what upset me more, the eejits fighting over Black Friday deals, or the eejits saying they'd rather pay full price than 'lower themselves' to go shopping for bargains!!. Surely somewhere in the middle, ie grab bargains whenever you can whilst maintaining dignity and decorum, is optimum!!!

i went to one of the black friday sales at one the a$da in bristol and it was very civilised, all black friday stuff had be sectioned off from rest of store, you had to queue in an orderly manner, it was 10 people in 10 people out, there was never more then 10 people in at one time, then the a$da other side of town was stupid! cant understand it.
  • Nice when someone else does the cooking isn't it?? Though I confess mine does a lot as my cooking isn't the best!

  • Afternoon Diary,

Lots going on here today! Electrician came this morning, the lights look really really nice :D.

Just been out to MnS, didn't really get any nice food as such as I was hoping they'd do the dine in offer but they didn't have it one. So we bought chicken, ham, vege kievs, fruit and a baguette and only had to put 80p towards it so not too bad. Then we went to Mr A's for the other bits. Didn't take a list as I forgot it and we spent £25 so not too bad as we got a few extra bits that weren't on the list such as pizzas and tear and share bread for the weekend.

Thanks for popping in Chrysalis, Dawnybabes, dory and DF1D. Dawnybabes I would probably end up spending too much that way as I can't be trusted ha!! Its very rare I seem to see the stickered items as well maybe I'm going at the wrong time. I do go pretty earlyish as kids are at gymnastics and I have an hour to kill so do it then.
Dory you would think all the stores would follow the same procedure wouldn't you! Obviously that would be too sensible!!
DF1D, I do all the cooking round here as I get home early so tea is on the table for when DH gets in. Im quite a good cook and I actually do enjoy it. Its nice to be able to chill watching come dine or similar whilst someone else cooks though :D.

So we've got hot beef sandwiches for tea with the left over beef from Sunday. Were then going bowling tonight with the kids and some friends which should be fun.

Thats about all from me. No plans for the rest of the week then.
    Hope all ok x

  • Im back! Just been researching better deals to haggle with Sky and I think im going to cancel the TV package :undecided. We have freeview on all our TVs and tbh theres not much we watch from sky anyway other than the kids. Going to see if I can get a better price with the landline and BB costs. If they offer me a really cheap price I might be persuaded to stay. The thought of cancelling does upset me but DH is right we hardly use it, just the recording facility which we can do through our TV anyway. Will see what happens when I ring them Friday.

Apparently people over on the TV thread have reported 50% discounts plus £100 credit to their account for sitting tight so might be worth it. Weve got nothing to loose really eeekkk!!! Might change my mind again by Friday ha xx
