  • Morning Diary,

Unplanned working from home day for me today. DD1 didnt really eat much of her breakfast and then told me at 8.20 that she didnt feel so good with tummy ache and feeling sick. Ive kept her off as she does look a bit peaky and with the weather being as it is, id rather keep her here and I dont have to worry about being stuck at work if shes unwell at school. DH took the car today so that would be me trying to get back from work on the bus! Shes currently laid on the sofa groaning that she feels sick poor thing.

DD2 is supposed to have her first swimming lesson tonight but if the snow carries on we wont even attempt to get there.

I was supposed to pop into town at lunchtime for DDs balloon for tomorrow, ive just called the local flower shop and they have some so will pop in there on the way to pick her up from school.

Think thats all from me. Catch up soon xx

Thank you Pennywise, shes ok still no sick so I think more than likely she will be back at school tomorrow.
She was throwing snowballs on the way back from picking DD2 up from nursery so not that poorly obviously!!

So I have just put some chicken in the oven to roast and I will shred it and make a curry out of it for tea.
The snow stopped here about 2pm and its melted a bit so we will make DD2's first swimming lesson after all.

I have a little confession... I am absolutely hating my job at the minute, the Director is throwing requests my way left, right and centre and I just cant be @rsed with it anymore. I feel bad saying that as theres so many out there would kill for my job but Im just so stalled with it. One of my colleagues resigned last week and im seriously thinking of getting this debt paid off and getting the hell out of there. Ive been there 7.5 years and am bored to tears with it.
Truth is once the debt is paid off I can just get any old little job and it wont matter so much now DH is earning more. Think thats my plan pay off the debt and get the hell out there. Weve had 2 re-structures in the past 2 years and we are now down to 4 staff members, with about 3 jobs rolled into each position. Totally fed up with it is an understatement.

    Sorry for the whinge! xx

  • Hi mummy, good to hear DD is soon back on her feet :).

Sorry to hear you feel that way about your job, but it is an incentive to keep chipping away at the debt and you know those months will just fly by. Hope things settled down so it will be more bearable for you.

That's monday over and done with. :)

    xx

    Good Afternoon,

Its my DD's 4th birthday today, where oh where has the time gone? She loved all her presents which was good and requested pancakes for breakfast :D.
I am leaving work at 2.30 to meet the childminder at school and collecting them both there. Then after picking DH up we are going bowling and to pizza hut for tea.
I got an email from the bowling place yesterday offering 50% off, so ive just booked and got the game for £8.25 instead of £16.50 :money:.
A 50% off certain pizzas at pizza hut also dropped into my inbox... very handy its like Martin Lewis is looking out for me :D.

I am on an absolute roll today... paid myself my expenses on £12.40, £9.60 owed to joint account for postage, the remaining £2.80 I sent straight to my very account. Not much but better than nothing I suppose. This was just little bits of money I had in my purse anyway so I wont miss it.

Alice, thanks for your kind post. Just totally fed up with it, definitely need a new challenge but will bind my time for purely selfish reasons and hope in the meantime it picks up.

Thats all from me today xx
