Morning Diary,
Lovely to log on and see so many posters this morning, happy Thursday!!!!
Itsa and Alice, my ironing basket isnt too big, although I only did the kids uniforms and a few other bits and sacked it off!!!
Livvy, I love doing the school run, like you say its a novelty when you dont do it much! I can imagine it being a bit of a chore if you had to go down 3 times a day like I would if I was doing it everyday!
Pennywise, nearly the weekend!!!
So as I mentioned above didnt do much of the ironing as I had a headache and felt shattered. So instead I put a load of washing in and went to bed at 8pm with a cuppa... so rock and roll me :rotfl:! I watched TV until around 10.30 I think but I do feel better for it this morning.
Its my early day in work and since its dry and not windy or anything ive parked in a free car park about 15 minutes walk away.. saves me money and I get a bit of exercise too.
I think I will try and do this on my Tuesday and Thursdays weather dependant!
Today wont be a NSD as I need to pop to the garage on the way home and buy a brake light for the car. DH rung up to enquire about the cost yesterday... 50p what a bloody bargain! I will get 2 haha! Im also buying my work lunch for the first time this year. Theres a really nice sandwich shop near work and I promised my colleague I would take her so thats our lunch sorted. Ive brought my own crisps to stop me spending 70p on some in the sandwich shop and ive got some sat at home in the cupboard and we will finally get the free cafe nerro ive been promising myself all week!!!
DH also sorted a problem out on his bike himself, he thought it was the bulb but did some googling and it was actually some switch or other. So he ordered the part on ebay for £4 and fixed it himself :money:. I love that we try and the sort the problem ourselves now before we would just have taken them straight to the garage for them to sort.
So I think thats all from me. Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
I felt emotionally exhausted yesterday and have to admit to having dosed off on the sofa yesterday tea time.
I must admit I do have the same feeling of satisfaction of doing things ourselves (well this is the royal "we"). Our tumble dryer stopped working and so OH went online and thoroughly researched it, bought a kit off ebay and watched you tube videos of how to change the part and hey presto, instead of a new tumble dryer for £200.00 the parts cost under a tenner :T
Oooh hash browns PWPS, do you make them yourself or are they shop bought ones?
All this talk of food is making me hungry lolJust keep swimming!0 -
I fixed my toilets myself
, they were making a really loud noise after flushing so I Googled it and after a couple of hours with my head in the cistern I finally fixed them. Its so satisfying.

Evening diary!!
Oh man did anyone watch 30 years of citv at the weekend? Dh has just put woof on, omg I have just travelled back in time 24 years!!!
Anyway!! I went to the garage after work and bought 2 bulbs for £1, what a flipping bargain. Dh fitted it in about 5 minutes!!
Me and my colleague went and got our free cafe nerro was lovely and even better free. I'm actually getting a bit obsessed with priority moments ha, my next freebie will be a 2day gym pass, going to ring them tomorrow.
Alice and livvy I'm loving that were all getting handy. Livvy superscrimpers starts Monday!!!
Tonight I've caught up with the ironing, had a shower and now chilling. I think Thursday is my best evening of the weekend... You can smell the weekend.
Think that's all from me xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up!
So yesterday I only worked for the morning, it went soooo fast and I had loads to do but I managed it!!
Came home and looked after my friends little girls whilst she went to a funeral. DD2 loved having her hear but got a little bit jealous when I was carrying her when her little legs got tired!! I darent move from her though, you know what its like when your house isnt baby proofed so the house was and is a right mess!!
Today DH helped his friends move house which left me having to take the kids to Mr A's with me. OMG what an absolute nightmare that turned out to be. They were whinging before we even got there. I ended up leaving the store without half the stuff I needed!
Nothing much else to report. Seriously need to spend some time sorting out this house tomorrow!
Today has been quite chilled out other than that.
Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy, what a bargain those bulbs were, I can't remember exactly how much we paid when we had to replace the one in our car recently think about £8. Gotta love a bargain
Our house is needs sorting too. I'm still pegging outbut hate having the clothes airers up everywhere (got 3!!).
Happy Sunday.....hope we get a little lie in.xx

I normally pop into town and do the food shopping on my own on a Saturday morning but Mr Itsa had to come with me as he needs glasses. Oh my it is like having 2 kids! By the time it got to going to Tesco, I threw my rattle out and said stuff it, we don't need that much lets just go to the village Co-op lol!
It has been bloomin chilly here today. I walked the pooches earlier and it was freezing!Just keep swimming!0 -
Hi Mummy
Poor you having to take the kids shopping, I leave mine at home as I can't cope with the "Can I have?" every 2 minutes.
Have a good day xx0 -
Afternoon Diary,
Well im not sleeping very well at the moment, keep getting a bee in my bonnet and not being able to switch off. Last week it was where abouts the funbus can park without upsetting all the neighbours for DD2's party next Saturday. Last night it was how DD2 is going to get on at swimming tomorrow haha! Im a nervous wreck at the moment, silly me!
So ive had a whinge at DH this morning as I just feel like I am working full time, washing and ironing and spending 2 hours on a weekend getting this house back straight again. He has been hoovering and polishing Tuesday and Thursday but come the weekend I feel like its me doing all the grafting! He came and put the ironing away and made lunch so he must have realised!!
Ive left the upstairs as I just couldnt face it, 2 floors was more than enough for a Sunday morning.
Alice, last time I got a bulb replaced it was about that from H@lfords, wont be falling into that trap again!
Itsa, I should have done that with the coop and just got what I needed for now. I actually did think that as I was driving down there, will know for next time.
Choo, they werent too bad with the can I haves, they were just moaning about it taking so long and we had only been in the shop 5 minutes!
So my friend is coming over to take DD2 for her birthday present, going to enjoy a bit of peace whilst they are gone.
Be right back, my mums just on the phone! XXMummytogirls x0 -
Ok im back, just dropped my phone and now I cant unlock it as the button on the top has gone right in! Im managed to cancel the automatic screen shut down thing so it should be ok but it means my phone can never be locked now so I might end up randomly ringing people!
Phew just managed to wiggle the button back out and its ok again now... panic over! We have got some spare blackberries at work so worst case scenario id have to borrow one of those!
Today is NSD6!! Im aiming for 10 so that should be more than do-able. Tomorrow and Tuesday will be spend days though. Need to get DD's balloon and badge at lunch time tomorrow and then Tuesday we are going bowling and out for tea for her actual birthday. Cant believe my baby will be 4... sniff!!
Think thats about all from me. Hope everyones ok xxMummytogirls x0
