I'd just like to back up what 3 dogs has said.

I'd always owned my home until a few years ago (won't bore you with the story) when I started renting from the local council (housing later transferred to a housing association.) It's a lovely area, fields nearby (I can see sheep when I look out of my bedroom window), gardens, new kitchen/bathroom and comi boiler fitted a couple of years ago. If there's a problem you just ring them and they repair it - no worrying about how you're going to pay the plumber/electrician etc. The funny thing is that, several years ago, I was viewing a house nearby in the hope of buying it. My Dad put me off because "it's next to the council estate." Now we both live ON 'the council estate'!! :rotfl::rotfl:

If I were you Ann I'd be getting in touch with the local council or housing association while you're down there.

So Niddy finally shows us the crack in the Lloyds defense... (Nice pic - won't ask how you found it)

Glad you got the iron sorted Ann. Wasn't sure it would work, but glad everything's okay.

I'm off to bed now. Only logged on for a quick look before I went to bed. That was at 9 o'clock and I was intending to have an early night and be in bed for half past 9!!

3 dogs. I followed everyone's advice and persuaded her to chat to him, explain to him how much he is upsetting her with his behaviour so he has a chance to improve their relationship. He is quite bright but how does one put it politely? At best, he is insensitive and at worst, he is a thoughtless, arrogant, selfish idiot who may soon be singing soprano if i get my way.

but we have not yet received a statement as requested several times - for an update on the loan balance, I need to make sure they reduced the balance.

    Hi Di

Sorry about the delay - you don't make things easy, with the limited information do you :p Ok, so to summarise you had a refund of PPi for a loan account, you want an up-to-date balance/statement showing the reduction from the PPi refund?

If so then send this, to Lloyds Collections (or whoever you want the statement from) - this should kick them into gear and get you what you want..... You will get a response to this letter so make sure you send it recorded delivery (the orange sticker) so you have proof of delivery. :D
    Dear Sirs,

    Account No: XXXXXXXX

Further to previous correspondence, in which I requested an up to date statement of account, I note this request remains outstanding which is simply unacceptable considering the length of time since my original request.

As you are no doubt aware, failure to provide when requested, details of the up to date balance and status of a debt is a breach of the updated OFT guidelines on debt collection. Therefore I now expect full compliance and demand a statement of my account, showing all transactions covering the last 12 months, prior to my seeking advice, regards to taking my complaint to the OFT; for your blatant and deliberate breaches of said guidance.

On that same note, I also submitted a full s.7 (DPA1998) & a full s.78 (CCA1974) request in the hope of obtaining the statement, unfortunately both of these requests have also been ignored. Similarly, as you're no doubt aware breaches of DPA, CCA & OFT guidelines collectively, does not bode well on the image Lloyds is trying to promote.

I am now sick of waiting for this statement and feel Lloyds are taking advantage of their position by witholding the document. Without which, you leave me in an awkward position as I need to sort my liabilities out and the lack of your cooperation is delaying matters to which I will also consider a claim for compensation, should my response not be dealt with, within the next 7 days.

I do not feel it is a lot to ask for, all i'd like is for someone to go and print me an account statement, pop it in an envelope and send it to me. Should you ignore this request I will be left with no alternative but to formally report you to the Office of Fair Trading, to consider your suitability to hold a credit licence in addition to a complaint to the relevant governing authorities.

I look forward to hearing from you, with the account statement, within the next 7 days.

    Yours faithfully

I started reading through Niddy's thread from the beginning. Several hours later and I'd only got up to page 45!! Niddy's gone up even more in my estimation (if possible) because he's a fan of Mark Knoppfler (Dire Straits.)

    Pixie,

No need to read it from beginning eeek! It'd take a year! haha - that is version 3, there are 2 before it remember :o But seriously, people don't realise just how much they learn about the processes and how much they are in control by spending a day reading the thread - glad you have done so, it'll (hopefully) make you feel more at ease, knowing that there really isn't much the lenders can do to you - regardless!

As for Mark Knoppfler - ooooh yes, in my opinion without doubt the worlds best ever musician..... I could listen to Brothers in Arms all day - on repeat! Ahhh bliss ;)
