But seriously, people don't realise just how much they learn about the processes and how much they are in control by spending a day reading the thread - glad you have done so, it'll (hopefully) make you feel more at ease, knowing that there really isn't much the lenders can do to you - regardless!
You're right (as ever) Nid. Reading through it did put me far more at ease so it was time well spent.
I'm particularly annoyed at one credit card company - I've paid on time for years and the first time I have trouble they refuse lowered payments and give me a default - after ONE missed payment!! :mad:0 -
EEK I have Nids LLoyds letter in hand and about to go post it recorded delivery of course
Very nervous and feeling kinda sick to the stomach.0 -

Hiya
They cannot default you after one missed payment - its not possible to follow processes in time, to do that!
Basically the account should be at least a payment (usually 3) in arrears at which point they send you notice of default which should set out the remedies to clear the arrears, by a set date (usually 14 days later) and then they issue a default notice.
It cannot happen from one missed payment, that is wrong wrong wrong!!2010 - year of the troll
