I'd suggest you'd phone back as I did and point out that no where on the site does it have a 9 product limit and they did not stop you purchasing 9 items. I would also point out that under the terms and conditions tesco agreed with the gov they have to make it clear how long a promotion will last for and that they are firm prices if they are to be delievered within the offer period. The offer was initally going to run until the 7th but it was pulled. See below for more.

All the supermarkets have agreed with the OFT to make it clearer how their online shopping schemes work, including:
upfront information about their pricing policies and how the online shopping process works
ensuring special offer prices quoted online are treated as firm prices for orders that are to be delivered in the offer period - how long the offer lasts will be made clear easy access to the terms and conditions.

He did a terrible job. on the first call I was put on hold for 20 minutes to speak to him. then i spend another 20 minutes explaining my situation to him. he only offered me 9 items even thou someone in his team offered me my whole order 3 for £2

He told me about the company policy which seems to be changing every single day, every other person

I hang up n call another CS. She saw the note left by him and told em the same thing again. howver this time she offered me a £10 ecoupon. I said no can i just have my delivery charges back. She say ok , then put me to my local store to arrange for collection. n thats the last i heard from her

i was abruptly cut off. so i call back again, this time speak to Greg , another CS, he put me through to KEVIN!!!!! He told me i been a nuisance to Tesco n i should not have call back.

so i told him i have not been satisfied with my customer experiences n i should be able to call back any time i want. then i told him about the £10 e coupon.

he asked me who have i spoke to, i mentioned a few names in succesion but i cleraly told him the name who gave me that voucher. He told me no such call recorded n implied that i must be lying.
at this point i lose it and asked him to please trace back my record showing who have i spoke to. He was very adamant that nobody should give me that £10 ecoupon.

all along the conversation he was condescending, putting in his own personal opinion about me and to say the least, makes me feel terrible on this whole shopping experiences.

just to let you know ive been given a £10 ecoupon so you can be given them

ive ended up with 9 items at 3 for £2 paid delivery charge only though becouse i use clubcard £6 voucher and been given a £10 voucher

*big hugs* Having been treated like that in the past by Tesco CS I completely empathise with you. The only thing that makes me completely lose it in a situation like this is if somebody in a company accuses me of lying. I just see red! To me, anyone can call me anything in the world and it'll roll off me (some easier than others, admittedly). Anyone accuses me of lying and it's like a devil pops out of me, lol.

What a palaver, I'm glad I bought my shampoo from the shop rather than online. If I had bought online and been treated the way some of you have I wouldn't be sitting there taking it, I would fight this until I drew my last breath. What a way to treat people, it's disgusting!!

I was looking for that link just now, thankyou, you saved me a job.
Actually, is it possible to complain to the OFT? I'm thinking that if it is, every single person who had any restrictions imposed AFTER the order had been dispatched from store (as by then you had paid for those items and formed a contract which as far as you knew at that point were 3 for £2 as very very clearly stated on their webite) should put in a complaint to the OFT. That would apply whether you were informed to refuse the delivery, whether you have had to return the delivery since or whether you had a limit imposed.
Tesco bigwigs will never conform to the law and guidelines by choice, so we need to find another way!

I will not be shopping at TESCO's again. EVER!
Terrible customer service. I still haven't had my full refund, or email.
I shall be taking them to small claims if they don't. I have no life thus have the time.

Just to let you know, I have e-mailed the Daily Mail as I think they would be interested in Tesco's mistake and then some of their staff attempting to bully their customers.

I have also included in my e-mail this individual's alleged previous form:

*nods* I think most people have fought Tesco to the best of their ability which is why I think it is time for some people to go over their heads to the OFT if possible. Having had an equally frustrating problem with Tesco in the past I fully understand that you just hit a brick wall with them when the highest person you are able to speak to still disregards the law. Surely people shouldn't have to take them to court? There must be some way to fight them, I just haven't figured out yet what it is. Personally I just spread the facts about their illegal practices and flout every offer they do and make sure I never buy anything full price from them, lol, would much rather shop at Morrisons (but my local one is just sooooo small*sob*)
