  • Thank you OP :) Just got 3 x serum, shampoo, conditioner delivered. Bit late now but I'll call CS in the morning. I had to return the 9 soups I ordered as they substituted with singles, so I'll need to check that out too anyway. Hopefully as I have a total of 9 they will not give me too much hassle. Thanks :)

I completely agree, they should adopt the same policy for everyone. I'm sure something's not legally right here.

Wonder what the tabloid newspapers would make of all this:

......Big company like Tesco firstly making such a huge pricing error and then secondly refunding some customers whilst treating others with bad customer service and doing them out of what is rightly theirs.

By issuing refunds to some customers they are actually admitting their mistake, so why are refunds not being issued to all is my question.

The error is down to Tesco and if the website says 3 for £2 and they are delivered i would not accept anything less. If i had received an email stating incorrect price etc then fair enough. CS did state that i could only have 9 products but i refused and was put on hold for a while. The CS adviser then offered a full refund. Good luck to everyone waiting for theirs. I'm loving this consumer revenge.

I want to take two items back to the store for a refund (there was one OOS, so i got charge full price for two items).

I can't find this on the Tesco wesbite. What do I do? Take it to Cusotmer Service? Do i have to take my recript that the driver gave me? Is it paid back to my card or can it be refunded in cash? I don't know which items were charged for full price - does it matter which items I take back?

    Thanks

I would take it back to CS along with your reciept, they may want to credit it back onto your credit card so I would take that along aswell. If you were charged full price for the two items then you should get this back.

p.s. loving this thread, it's been edge on the seat drama; will the items be in stock and delivered, will they do it for 9 items or the whole order :rotfl:

I did see this days ago and rang customer services to ask if they'd honour it and they said yes it's an offer till 7th March, came on here to post but was too slow as usual and found the existing thread.

My order was only delivered recently and I had so much trouble trying to sort this out over the phone and I didn't have much, didn't think to put in a big order - what are we like, nothing like a good bargain ;)

Some of you guys did well out of this...

  • Got my shampoos and conditioners last night. Some out of stock, so took me under the 9 bottles limit anyway. Lots and lots of thanks to OP. Got on the phone to CS, and it seemed as though he was working to a script about refunds (re 9 bottles limit). He admitted it had been a busy night dealing with complaints about this offer:) Got my refund, and email this morning. My OH is gobsmacked that it all worked out. I LOVE this thread.

    Right then people...

I was getting nervous, so i called the grocery helpline and spoke to a lovely Welsh man (thanks whoever you are, lovely voice :kisses3:), he said i can keep 9 of the items. I can pick which ones i want. They will honor the offer on those and to let the deliver man take the remaining items back with him. Then to phone them again to process the refund.
