tescos glitch 3 for £2 on shampoos

I completely agree, they should adopt the same policy for everyone. I'm sure something's not legally right here.
Wonder what the tabloid newspapers would make of all this:
......Big company like Tesco firstly making such a huge pricing error and then secondly refunding some customers whilst treating others with bad customer service and doing them out of what is rightly theirs.
By issuing refunds to some customers they are actually admitting their mistake, so why are refunds not being issued to all is my question.
Tesco, as a company (again, not aimed at floor staff etc) do a lot of legally dubious and blatently illegal things and yet no-one seems to have the power to take them on. Anyone who saw the "expose" about them on TV a couple of years or so ago will know what I mean, buying up and hogging land to prevent competitors building stores nearby and ignoring planning permission and then bribing councils to overlook what they've done amongst other things
In fact I'm led to believe that they applied for permission to open a none-food store in the centre of town where I live... got permission, advertised 270 jobs and then opened a few weeks ago and guess what? a huge food store! If the council were to tell them they must change to a none-food store I imagine their response would be that if the council wanted to tell 220 of the staff that they were once again without a job to go ahead... that's what I've been told anyway and is a similar scenario to one featured in the aforementioned TV program.
In other words, they don't seem to care much about laws and guidelines because no-one official seems willing to challenge themIf a post is helpful to you, please take a second to click "thanks", it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside!0 -

Well I saved £489.25.
If everyone posts the amount they saved in total (in this post) we could collectively see how much Mr Tesco has been screwed for. :rotfl:
What do you all think?
£201.40 if I got my sums right

Hi,
What with everything going on today re Mr. T, I have just really looked at my paperwork. My initial order was for 12 shampoo and 12 conditioner and should the 3 for £2 been charged, they should have taken £16 for the goods + £3.50 delivery = £19.50 The £118.70 that is printed in BOLD threw me completely, I could hardly get my words out to the driver and even if Mr. T's excuse is 'it should have been 3 for 2' still wouldn't have applied in my case as 24 x £4.80 = £115.20 + £3.50 delivery = £118.70 Although its too late for me (goods already collected and returned) make sure you check the delivery note as it seems the 3 for 2 isn't even being applied - well not in my case. I ordered three for £2.00 without realising it was a glitch! When they arrived, one of them was for straight hair and the rest for curly (which is what I wanted) so I returned the one for straight hair. Now I am wondering if I will lose the offer and have to pay full price for the other two.
I got the two items for £2.00 and they refunded me the £4.80 for the incorrect one, so in effect they paid me £2.80 for two items! Sorry for those who are having so much trouble getting the refund. I ordered 17 instead of 18 got only 14 delivered for 3 for 2 and the total was £39-20 or something like that. I rang the CS and the guy answered phone was very nice but we both got bit confused how to do the refund for 9 items because there were CW shampoos too. We talked this and that and then he said i will give you refund for the most expensive once,I said ok. He said if i refund you £37.20 will you be happy i said ok,and then he said do you mind taking the others to the store to refund if i don't want them for the full price. I said no problem. I didn't really knew he was refunding me so much until i got of the phone and received the email.
looks like i got 14 items for £2 very pleased with it but I just hope the guy doesn't get into trouble for refunding me so much, because he was really nice.
