tescos glitch 3 for £2 on shampoos

  • They gave me this spiel about the '9 items' so i got £43.50 refunded and need to take the other 5 items back to store where i will get £25.40 refunded which puts me @ a £1 profit. For inconvenience and hassle of going back to store he also gave me £5 credit against my next order....

I maybe a little bit petty here but i think they should honour all items! I am tempted to give them a call back...

Just thought i'd post my feedback!

And for those who are unable to get to a store? Why should you go to a store due to their error?????????????

Well the website is deffo still showing it as 3 for £2 ! I would have thought that if it was a glitch that someone high up would have taken all the products off the website temporarily until they had re worded the price. Personally, I genuinely thought it was an offer...I have not been greedy (3 bottles of shampoo/conditioner and serum-all stuff that we use). Like any other offer, be it loo rolls, beans or deodrant I stock up a bit. The purpose being to save money:eek: Have an order coming tomorrow and will just see what happens:D

I'm going to call them back in the morning to try to get the others. Might just say my orders still doesn't add up after my first refund (act oblivious to the 9 item 'rule' roll eyes). If that doesn't work then say about there not being a limit when order was received. Failing that I'll return them as I'll still be in credit by £6.80 due to my £7.50 code.
Also CS took the most expensive ones off my order and said to choose what to return but didn't mind or ask what, so I'll return the most expensive lol for a second refund on them - maximum return.
Just to add if CS asks which you want them to take off don't let them make you choose there and then. Tell them you'll ring back or better still tell them to ring you back so your not rushed into anything.

    I agree completely!
I mentioned earlier that if I was to pay full price and they wouldn't refund me anything at all and my only option for any kind of refund was to take them back to store, it wouldn't be incredibly difficult for me to arrange... but I'd still argue until I was blue in the face that it was their responsibility, not mine... the trouble is that Tesco are well known for using their size and clout as an excuse to bully and dismiss people when it comes to customer service... it is extremely hard to fight a company who simply don't care about their customer's feelings towards them :(

Edit: Just want to mention again that my feelings towards Tesco as a huge bullying company by no way reflect my opinons of Tesco staff in general, there are lots of lovely Tesco staff (and a few horrid ones, lol)

Customer Service is open till 11pm Mrs T.

    thanks neenaww

I decided to call them again just now for the 3rd time this evening. Got a nice young chap and said that he had lots of customers on today about the shampoos. Said it was a blip and that it was supposed to be 3 for 2. Surely I must have realised this as they are £5.50 each.

No said I. Explained how I didnt get a delivery note I was now concerned for a delivery I had signed for with no slip to say how much I was being charged and that I had been told wrong info from the 1st girl I spoke to. He said he was on till 11pm tonight but has to wait to speak to store as there is no way of him telling how much I was charged only store hold that info.

He said that I was one of many that has took advantage of tescos error and that they have been honouring it. HE did however say that people trying to order today would have there order cancelled. I told him was he sure it was a blip as he called it as I checked online while he was on the phone and it still says 3 for £2 online and that how was I to know it was a blip.

He is back on at 9am in the morning (he is doing overtime lol) He promises that he would call me back gave me his name.

Fingers x he does call me tmrw and I get my money refunded.

The website still shows 3 for £2. This isnt a glitch as such it just appears to be a special offer! It it is a mistype, then surely they should have corrected this by now!!!

Well it still is for me :)
As has been mentioned, it appears to depend on local stock.
Out of interest, can you see any full size Charles Worthington that is *not* on special offer?
