Look what I just found in the terms and conditions!!!!! (linked to from my confirmation of order email)

    Returns of non-perishable items

We hope you will be happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item, we aim to make the returns process as simple as possible.
If you are unhappy with any non-perishable items, simply return then to your local Tesco store, in the original packaging within 14 days of despatch and we will give you a refund on those products or replace the item.
Please note that, in the event of a refund, all Clubcard points received for the purchase of the refunded goods will be removed from your Clubcard account.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
:TGreat Find - well done this will be of great help to many.

I just ordered a rake of these as they are still showing online as 3 for £2 AND I used a first delivery code - £10 for any order over £50. Be interesting to see what customer services make of this when my delivery comes tomorrow night. they should be paying me to take the goods -

Just search free delivery code for Tesco in the search box. Its still valid for any new Tesco customer on first delivery

    Hi,
I too have just taken delivery of the shampoo I ordered yesterday and have been charged FULL PRICE. Customers services couldn't give a definite answer about what will happen, suffice it to say, the Duty Manager is ringing me tomorrow. What I really wondered if anyone could answer is a query on the debit card. Printed off the Order confirmation which said the total was £19.50 which of course is what I agreed to the card being charged. Then when I saw the £118 total and the driver confirmed this is what I would have paid, I couldn't believe it. Can someone please tell me where they get the authority to take the increased amount from my Bank. I certainly didn't agree to anything other than the £19.50. I mean what if people don't have that much money in the bank and they go overdrawn and don't have an overdraft facility.
Apparently this offer is a 'glitch' and yet it is still showing as being available on line!!!!!!!!! Sally

I've just received my order. It was for the full amount charged with many OOS and a couple of subs from the same range. Nerversly called CS prepared for the worse and to battle through it till I got the promo honoured.
I spoke to a lovely lad who was just absolutley flabberghasted at my order. He was more concerned as to how long it would take him to work out the refund than whether or not it was a glitch that had been pulled or how much the refund would be. Anyway he said he'd send the email once he had worked it out. I told him to just subtract the £8 of the order (half was OOS) and refund the dif but said he had to check the amounts himself. I took his name and login number for if it doesn't go through properly.

So I managed to get 76.50 worth for £8 plus £3 delivery

I think if you have trouble put the phone down and ring again as it seems to depend on who you talk to.

    Many many thanks for this

Oh just to add I had 14 items delivered so 2 spare from the 3 for £2. CS told me to return these to my local store for a refund.

Sorry for all the posts but I forgot about my 7.50 off code. So I actually have -
76.50 worth for £11 inc del
    minus 7.50 code
    Total spent £3.50

Just waiting for the email now.
  • Huge thanks to OP for this!

I ordered 6 x 3items yesterday and kept order etc. Delivery due between 8-10pm tonight. Been frantically reading and getting worried in case my money does not get refunded after reading some posts. Decided to ring CS, pleading ignorance and saying a couple of friends deliveries were wrong and what was the problem. He immediately said it was a huge error but they would honour the 3 for £2 as the error was theirs and I ordered in good faith, especially as the offer still appears live online. He said some were oos so have to wait for delivery before it can be refunded. Just rang me back and said they have now been told can only honour it for 9 items, others will be charged at full price or give them back to driver. The refunds will not be honoured in stores. I'm now just waiting to see what I actually get!
    Hope that helps someone.

Did you sign something on reciept of the goods? Something that said the 'full' price on?
Im not completely sure as I havent had a delivery from tesco nor any other supermarket but based on what others have said you only authorise tesco to take the money from your account when you sign on delivery.....therefore if the reciept/paperwork you signed said the full price you have indeed authorised them to debit your card with the full (incorrect) amount.

at least they called you back although I would argue it, they did not have any limits when they ordered it....and if you wanted to pay full price im pretty sure they wouldnt be limiting your order so theyre altering your order to suit their purposes

I'm sure legally they can't dismiss you like that
I have to admit however that I once had a row just like that, same situation, in our local store... after a large arguement I left with my difference refunded and contacted CS, assuring myself they would be shocked and rectify it.
No, they didn't, they were downright rude to me. Which is another reason why I hate Tesco and go out of my way more than ever to take advantage of any mistake they make

Please note this is in no way a criticism of everyday staff who work for Tesco, this is merely my experience of a local manager and whoever answered the phone at CS :(

Same here happened to me a couple of times. Since they've stopped taking coupons I go to Sainsburys now...much nicer (slightly more expensive) shopping experience. Lovely polite staff as well

Well I have just took delivery of my order. All items are in stock but the guy said they didnt give him a receipt. So I asked do you know if there was any substitutions he was like eh dont think so.

Please sign here. Got the cs number from him and the lady said she phoned the store and there systems are down at the moment so she will phone me back at 7pm when she speaks to the store to make sure my discounts were applied.

Obvioulsy I know that I will have been charged full price so hoping she will rectify the overcharge when she phones me back.

Well what a palava my order is turning out to be.

Surprise Surprise I got no phone call at 7pm so phoned again at 8pm to speak to another cs agent. She said there had been no called logged earlier and what the girl told me was pretty much rubbish. She said she could have checked there banking system but would have to be before 6pm to see what I had been charged and that the store home shopping dept would be away home by now. She offered to call me back tmrw evening when she started her shift but I politely declined and said I would call back tmrw 9am.

This is all due to the fact that I do not have a receipt to be able to tell what I was charged.

I mean if you are all getting refunded they must have somewhere on there system how much you were charged I mean surely they are not just taking your word for it are they?
