Good for you, La! Im afraid I was spending far more than £2.50 a day on lunch before I started bringing things in...

Yup, me too. I used to budget £3/day each for lunches and won dered where my money was going:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now everyone takes packed lunches and we save a packet

PS managed 5/5 this week for the first time ever:T

    Thanks for the support everyone!

Feeling much better today. Tuna and cucumber sandwich, noodles and an apple (and a bun and two chocolate biscuits courtesy of my colleagues) ....have seriously gotta get a grip on this dodgy food consumption, was weighed and measured at my gym today and the results were not pretty!

If I were saving my lunch money every day I reckon I'd be looking at a fiver at least :eek:

    Love this challenge :-)))

    Hi everyone :hello:

Last 3 days are going to be tuna pasta x 2 and a cheese & bacon sarnie (not v healthy but hey ho!)

OH has seen how much this challenge has helped me and is going to join in too! Woo hoo. Might make it a bit tougher to organise (he doesn't have a toaster at work and I like my toast and something lunches) but it'll definitely help us save us loads!

    xx

Anyone up for running the April challenge? I'll be gone for easter then super busy at the start of the month.

We're going away on Thursday, and we have dinner plans in Reading tomorrow with OH's family. So I'll take in 2 days worth of pasta pesto with veg that needs to be used up before we go for the long weekend.

I'd be really interested to know what everyone takes in to work for lunch actually. I get bored of sandwiches! I baked a potato today when doing the Sunday roast and will take that in to heat up with some beans or cheese tomorrow ;-) But any other ideas would be great!

There are loads of ideas on the early pages of this thread, Swell, and do a search for the January and Feb threads. Personally some of my favorite things are soups, leftovers (frittata, cottage pie, pasta bake, goulash, whatever) and salads.

I never bring sandwiches, I always end up still hungry!
