Spendy day for me today, got back from my hols very late and tired last night, nothing ready for lunch making so eased myself back into work with a Pret sandwich.
Back into it tomorrow!

Hi all, I think this is a really good idea. I work in the town centre and it's all so easy to walk to Boots and get a meal deal (or two to get the No7 voucher!). Am I too late to join for this month now?
I am going out for a birthday lunch today but it will be homemade bread and soup for the rest of the month for me.If I've got it, you can have it.0 -
Sure, Diamond, join in then sign up proper next month!
I had leftover butter nut squash from the weekends pie so I improvised some squash / potato soup. Its ok but I left the potato skins on for the vitamins and now all you can taste is potato! Oh well, thats not so bad, but its enough soup from essentially nothing that it should last me for the rest of the week.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Hello everyone I have hit the wall! :-(((
Second bought lunch in a row today :-( I need to get back to it, I've got no lunches left until April now! Feeling really unwell and things are miserable for me at home too. I hadn't realised how much my mood affects my behaviour. I have got in lunch supplies - just a cucumber to put in tuna mayo sandwiches - and I'm making the mayo tonight so no excuse tomorrow.
The interesting thing is, I had a Pret sandwich today and yesterday and really did not enjoy them, no flavour!
Better day tomorrow!!
Hope everyone's doing OK, we're nearly there for the month :-))0 -
a few years ago in a previous job I was a single parent of 2 and in an extremely low paid job (I think I was getting about £11500). One of the girls I was working with was in the same position. We used to have "picnic" lunches in the summer at the park. We would both russle up whatever we could and bring it in the next day. We had some very decadent picnics! One day after work I went to the local butchers and he sold me some minted lamb chops for £1, I roasted some veg (what was left in the stores) in olive oil and took in some olives. She came in with cous cous and other bits. Was fabulous :T still remember sitting in the sun in the park, completely broke but having fun with good company and food!
Still no bought lunches takes me to 14/18 HMDF as at 30/12/16

Hi everyone
Not long left in March. I think these are the hardest days - payday for me today, Friday tomorrow... oh dear... Here's to the final push! April isn't too far away, Moo. You can do it.
Someone commented today that I've always got my 'little pots'he he he. I have come up with some creations this week - much better than the toast phase I was going through a few weeks back.
Think my fave lunch this week was baked potato (made in the oven along with tea the night before) and then heated up in the micro at work the following day with some cheese and salad. Nice and filling
I've also started putting the £2.50 a day I would've spent on lunch towards my credit card! Loving this challenge!!:T0 -
Good for you, La! Im afraid I was spending far more than £2.50 a day on lunch before I started bringing things in...
Be strong Moo, we're nearly there!
