I can't believe we're heading into the last full week of March!

I am 'one up' on the total I set at the beginning of the month as I took lunch one day when I was only working a half day, which I didn't account for. :)

Might check out Approved Foods for next month's lunches.

Roll on April and some more weird and wonderful lunch-time creations!

Charliegirl well done for going to the gym, I've been in the garden today, the forecast is wet for the weekend.
Maysmummy I LOVE your signature advice to teenagers! Found out today that my 18 year old, who travels by train to 6th form college, buys a croissant and hot chocolate-to-go at the station, then buys something ridiculous like cheese strings, crisps and cherry coke for lunch. She pays out of her own earnings, and eats almost nothing at home. I was a fussy kid and grew out of it, but her extravagance on such rubbish horrifies me. Of course at 18 she's deaf to all advice, she knows everything, and likes reminding me that she's old enough to choose what to eat and how to spend her wages. Goodness knows how she'll manage if she goes to uni, I hoped she'd be past the picky stage by now.

Thanks twiglet- it's the advice I give my own 2 teens who sound just like your daughter. They laugh at my and DH's OS ways and think nothing of eating 2 bowls of cereal and a takeaway for a meal.

I failed on Friday and bought a lunch . To give me credit, I wasn't feeling well on thurs eve so didn't make my sandwiches and then got up late still not feeling well on Fri morning and had to run out of the house. Oh well. Only spent £1.20 on a pasta salad.
Anyway, I'm back on it again for the rest of the week 12/20 so far, should be 16/20 by friday and then 19/20 by Weds. Not bad though, this is the first time I've slipped up since Jan 1st!

I'm not looking forward to April, supposed to be going on a wheat free diet for 2 weeks- lunches are going to be so hard!

Well done Nottoobadyet! I don't think overeating counts when it's a HM lunch - it's like eating standing up: the calories don't stick.

I'm still into taking a pink grapefruit for desk-breakfast, and today I had a rather odd sardine-and-rice-and-beans thing with fresh basil which I invented out of what I found in the fridge. Not my best effort, it must be said. Back to sarnies tomorrow (with an egg custard tart for pud).
