Add me too. I've not bought a single lunch since the new year....and hope to continue!
I've got a slab (24tins) of pineapple chunks that my dad rescued from a pub he had (he does "holding work" which is where you look after a pub when the old managers have just done off) so still bringing them in every day. Having tuna jacket potato today (although the potatoes are a bit on the tiny side so have 2 of them).
Still scoffing the leftover celebrations in the office from our clients at xmas...its better than buying a bar of choc.0 -
This thread is quiet today!!!!
Used up all of my bought lunches 3/3 this month
Only 7 working days to go so I should manage just fine.
Off to Tesco for some more bread etc. and jacket potatoes. And might make some homemade soup and freeze it in little portions to take each day. Can't think of any other suggestions seeing as I really hate salad.
I'd like to make some cold pasta dishes but need some recipes!!
I also take leftover spag bol etc. sometimes.
Would maybe also prefer my sandwiches toasted so might go buy myself some toastie bags as we have a toaster but no toastie machine at work.
Also have a microwave and a supersize kettle thingy which is handy0 -
If you're sick of sarnies there are these things called "mug shots" that are like pot noodle they're about 39p each in asda (cannot for the life of me find them anywhere else). They do pasta or noodle ones. I like to make my own pasta salads...boil your pasta and put a stock cube in to make it tasty, then I just chiuck loads of cucumber, peppers, spring onion salt & pepper and some grated cheese - sometimes some tuna and sweetcorn. Oooh i'm hungry now. Aldi also do little boxes of noodles that you microwave in 3mins (they're like proper takeaway boxes) they're really tasty not as bland as the supernoodles flavours...I usually add a tin of mushrooms or half a chopped pepper in before I microwave it to bulk it up again!0

I know it's late but I'm gonna wade in. Think I've had 1 bought lunch this month, so I'm aiming to keep it that way and only have 1 bought lunch in March!
Today's lunch was absolutely awesome jacket potato, beans, low-fat spread and marmite. Truly amazing and I'm so sad that it's over.0 -
