Well I haven't bought any toiletries at all so far. It was funny last week though when I still had all of my stuff out in boxes before I put it away and I was explaining to my Dad what I was doing when he came round to give me my birthday present and when I opened it, guess what? It was a toliteries set. Soap and Glory Peace de resistance. Probably sell it on ebay as I won't use it. I've also found a micro-dermabrasion kit for hands that I didn't know I had so I'm going to try to that today.

Miserable Mothers Day here, my Mums on holiday, my son probably won't remember (he's still out as yet), my two stepchildren don't bother ususally. We had planned to go over to the eldests today, they had a new baby last week, but they've said they want a day on their own as they have been overwhelemd by visitors and the baby has been back in hospital this week.

Making soup to keep myself busy.

Well dont feel on your own, with dhs mental health problems (he has borderline personality disorder), he is very selfish and not only does he not "do" anything for us as a family he wouldnt even dream of helping the eldest one of our 3 three to make the day special for me. So i had a little self pittying wallow then got on with things as usual:(. I do feel for you as it gets to me too, last year was the same, but unfortunately there is not much i can do about it, except that hope one day it will all click in his head and he will stop being a complete and utter A******e ;). Have a hug from me chick(((())))

YES, definitely have that problem with Simple, which is a shame becaue in theory their products seem great (though I think I remember reading that their indgredients are not as 'simple' as they'd like us to think). I was using their rich moisturiser and it made my skin feel so tight and then dried out. I ended up using it on my legs just to get rid of it.

I'm glad to hear its not just me :). Couldn't think what to do with it but after your comment think I will pop it in the shower to use up there

Come on Sophy, spit it out!! Can't be any worse than using a Hilary Duff one :rotfl:

Quite honestly, I'd have been more likely to admit it if it had been Hilary Duff :o It was a celebrity scent though. Well, I say celebrity, but... :rotfl:

PS At least I can say it wasn't Kerry Katona :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Welcome to the thread, newbies :hello:

I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I am (I joined last month); everyone is really lovely, helpful, and supportive :)

I use the dove cream sticks, preferably the silk one. WIBA - yes I always use this kind of deodorant as I find spray ones too dry and itchy and the roll ones are too wet. But the stick ones are just inbetween and work well.

h007, I too am a lover of the dove stick deodorants.
Another stick deodorant user here - sprays are too harsh in general (the air, my nose, etc), and roll-ons, I just don't have the patience to sit and wait for them to dry. Haven't used either since my teens when the sticks first came out - were an absolute god-send :p

:o Oh dear, someone got me her 'Outrageous' for Xmas - even though the packaging looks tarty and cheap, the scent isn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be, but I still can't bring myself to using it :rotfl:

Alex Curran? Shilpa Shetty? :rotfl:Anyone know the Cheeky Girls have a toiletries line? :rotfl:

Have used up a mini Body Shop coconut shower gel and body milk. Not bad, probably would buy again if it was cheap.

Don't know if it has been mentioned already as i tend to dip randomly in and out of this thread ( you guys can TALK :D) but a tip i picked up from the OS board is that once you have finished cleaning you face with the wipe, have a quick swish around the bathroom with it. It really helps keep on top of the cleaning :j

I've done this for years - provided it's a 'clean' wipe (not mucky with make up etc) this morning I wiped the outside UPVC window ledge with it :o

    it was Coleen :o:o:o:o

Never have I been given a gift, said 'you shouldn't have' and meant it so much! Oh well, all gone now :A:rotfl:

hi ,what is the soap called please?

    It's Porridge soap from Lush.
A little expensive, but it works so well for my skin problems.
Smells a bit like a honey / golden syrupy porridge too! It's lovely!
I think I actually have enough to last me through March anyway, but I'm hoping to continue this challenge throughout the year, so I'm kind of setting myself up for a longer challenge :-)

Also, if you have psoriasis or other skin problems, I've found their hand body butter bar, called The Soft Touch, works really well on my legs where they've been nasty, it helps clear them up a lot as a moisturiser bar.
