Evening ladies and welcome to the newbies. :o No purchases to report here and I'm soooo close to finishing my Avon blueberry shower gel and my Trevor Sorbie Long Hair shampoo and conditioner. I've also used up a sachet of Dove Intensive Body Lotion. However, I've still got a veritable mountain of toiletries to pile through and am resigned to doing an inventory just so I know exactly what I am dealing with. I've got to find it all first though.... :embarasse

Yes, they've done that to me too :o There's no point pretending I won't use it, I know I will :rotfl:
Ditto Sophy, I just know I won't be able to stop myself...... :silenced:

Specific Soap - I found a soap that helps with my psoriasis very well, and exfoliates as well. So even though I have TONS of soaps, I will be sure to keep that one in stock all the time so I can use it when my skin is bad.
Hi Nicola and welcome. What soap is it that you use? It sounds good as I have rosacea. :)
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

I sorted through my toiletries stash tonight but must admit I didnt have the heart to actually count it all!!

I have put it into a big unit with plastic drawers from argos. i have sorted them into 4 drawers with hair, face, body, other.
sadly not everything fitted in anyway!!
i have a small over flow basket - mostly of hair stuff thanks to the tesco glitch and shower gels from body shop lol

then there is a 4 shelf storage thingy in the bathroom which is full up too!!
oh I cant see me getting through it all!!!

had abit of a pamper tonight using a nice olay cleanser, t tree nose strip (i have millions of these) and the nice marie clare moisteriser.
Then I put on some hand cream (vaseline intense) but I think it must of gone off cos it smelt awful. Washed my hands and threw the rest of the tube away

I also used the last of my deodorant. I use the dove cream sticks, preferably the silk one. WIBA - yes I always use this kind of deodorant as I find spray ones too dry and itchy and the roll ones are too wet. But the stick ones are just inbetween and work well.

h007, I too am a lover of the dove stick deodorants.
I am trying to fathom why in the world I was complaining that the phlegm like conditioner didn't make my hair skinny enough? Is there a possibility I had boots vouchers on my mind? Skinny harrumph. It didn't make my hair very shiny!
I did find it a nightmare to get my hair tied back properly for work this morning. There was hair everywhere!
I have decided that I want to get myself a good haircut. I would like some recommendations.
I have very fine hair and it is just below my shoulders. I have a large nose so I need a fringe. I have a heart shaped (skinny) face with prominent cheekbones. Any hairstyle I have needs to be able to be off the face. If it's kept longer then it needs to be tied back for work, if short then it can't get in the way should I have to do CPR.
I'm thinking a just above the collar at the back bob-type cut with layers (I need the volume). Probably shorter round the ears if needed, my ears are nice and dinky so no problems there!
I can't think of any celebs who have this kind of hair so if you can think of any I would be grateful for names.

Have a lovely Mothers day everyone. I know my babies have a surprise planned cause DH doesn't know what they're up to and I heard them plotting the other morning. DD at 8 is the ringleader and is just telling DS what to do- I don't expect this to change with age other than that she will start telling DH what to get me too!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies on the thread! :):T

This morning I finished the Embarrassing Mystery Perfume That Was A Gift But Didn't Smell That Bad - I wouldn't buy it again! I've got an almost empty bottle of Green Tea that I want to concentrate on finishing next.

Kaz, I go to Toni & Guy for haircuts. Mine is also basically cut in a bob with long layers - because of the type of cut I can get away with going every six months, if I needed to go in between as well I'd probably use somewhere cheaper locally on the basis that the two "good" cuts a year would mean that they'd have a good base to work from. T&G are not cheap by any means but I do find they always do it extremely well - I've had one or two "eek" moments mid-cut but the results have always been excellent!

almost finished a pack of face wipes (about 8 more packs to go :o)

Don't know if it has been mentioned already as i tend to dip randomly in and out of this thread ( you guys can TALK :D) but a tip i picked up from the OS board is that once you have finished cleaning you face with the wipe, have a quick swish around the bathroom with it. It really helps keep on top of the cleaning :j

another vote for toni and guy here. I have very thick, curly hair and T&G is the only salon i have found so far where they can cut it so that I can wear it straight or curly. I go to a mid level stylist so we're talking about £35-40 a time, which is less than a tenner more than i was paying at a local independant salon for a much inferior cut. And, they do such a good job that i can get away with going once every 3-4 months. My local store has a loyalty scheme too wear i collect a stamp after every visit and when i reach 10 stamps i can either have so much £s worth of free products or £20 odd quid off my next cut.

even if you're not convinced T&G is right for you, if you pop in they have a free magazine which shows different styles of do's which are trendy at the mo

Wow I have SO many things on the side of my bathtub....
I'm SO in for this challenge!

So, nothing new until the old is used up!
I will allow myself to buy the body shop coconut body butter if I ever manage to get to body shop, as I only have one other body moisturiser bar and it's quite difficult to use sometimes as it's a bar.

    An excellent idea.
I spend FAR too much on this stuff and then it sits there barely being used!

Other thigns I'm ALLOWED to buy:
Bath bombs from Lush - Well you use one a bath, so they run out quickly, and they are my one big treat to pamper myself.
Radox - I like to have a couple of different versions in because my joints are bad, so I like the muscley ones to help when they're painful, and also the relaxing ones for when I'm stressed and not able to sleep well, so I'm allowed to have a couple of different ones.
Specific Soap - I found a soap that helps with my psoriasis very well, and exfoliates as well. So even though I have TONS of soaps, I will be sure to keep that one in stock all the time so I can use it when my skin is bad.

I have no idea how much shampoo and conditioner I have, I think enough to last me the rest of the month, especially since I chopped all my lovely long hair as I was on morphine for a year, and it dried out and got really horrible.

I like this challenge, hopefully it'll help me save money!

    Nicola

hi ,what is the soap called please?

    Hiya

Melonade - thank you for all the great suggestions! I especially like the idea of the fab pore peel as its good for spot prone skin :o. I thought that I wouldn't have to worry about acne in my 30s but seemingly not... what's even more annoying is that I never got any as a teenager! How've you found the Boots Vit E affects your skin? The witch hazel boots one I'm using seems to be quite good after trying it for the last few days.

Yeah I'm struggling with spots in my 30's too :o It's driving me mental atm!!! It's just a case of finding what works for me and sticking to it. The Vit E stuff is ok, not as light and easily absorbed as the tube says though. But my Nan says she has no problems with it. At least my skin is starting to settle down slowly, so it can't be that bad.

Happy mothers day to all the Mum's out there and I hope you're having a lovely day :j

Right I'm off to watch the first race of the brand new F1 season... perfect Mothers day :T

Come on Sophy, spit it out!! Can't be any worse than using a Hilary Duff one :rotfl:

My skin seems to have got a bit bad with spots atm, has anyone had trouble with Simple toner? That seems to be the only different thing Im using
