On the plus side, I am hugely amazed at how good the Boots customer service is! I emailed them to tell them about the burning sensation I got from the time delay eye cream and today they sent me a letter with a skin reaction survey and a £35 gift card! I couldn't believe it! I only emailed to find out if I could exchange the product without receipt in store! Much respect to the mighty Boots!

I think Boots CS are great too. They're very good at exchanging or refunding electrical products too. I've had 2 cameras with a fault which I had for almost a year before the fault appeared and they exchanged the first and refunded the second (as it had the same fault) without a problem. I've had other things break on me a month after buying them and other retailers will only send them away for repair which takes them a month!

Oh and by the way, the wax strips you use at home are nowhere near as effective at removing hair (IMO) as salon waxing, they've always missed loads when I've tried them, I don't think they're waxy/sticky enough.

Agreed but the Nair microwave wax works really well for me.

I've bought a shower gel today as i only have 1 left in my stash and i'm going to start that tonight. I spent ages trying to decide on one. I wanted the Treacle moon lemonade one that Tesco do because it smells delicious but it was a bit expensive at almost £3  Instead i bought a Tesco wake up lemon & tea tree shower gel for £1 that smells very similar.:money: I've got a mini S & G Clean on Me from my hatbox to use first though.

I had a bad reaction last night to a Sanctuary spa body lotion. As soon as i'd finished putting it on my skin felt like it was on fire and i went bright red like i'd been sunburnt. Two showers and an antihistamine later it was still burning and i started to panic, luckily it eventually eased but i was worried for a while. It was my fault though not the product because i realised after it's probably about 10 years old. That has now been binned and i won't be buying it again even though it was my fault. So be careful about really old stuff.

Nope I had this same reaction too- as did someon eelse? (ms red?)

    Its the ginger in it.

Now I avoid any ginger body items- just in case

Hubby finished off his shampoo last night. I don't have any spare for him stashed away but consider this last bottle lasted him probably about a year I don't think there's any rush to get him any more at the moment :D

I thought my body spray was going to be finished this morning but there is a tiny bit left that I can hear when I shake the can. Hopefully that will be used up this morning. I don't have any more in my stash but I'm not really that big on using body spray so doubt I'll replace it. I only used it up for layering as it was the same fragrance as the perfume I'm currently using.

Whilst getting ready for work this morning hubby commented "how much cr*p are you putting on your skin" to which I replied he commented earlier how soft my skin felt. Unfortunately we girls do have to spend some time making ourselves radiant which obviously my hubby doesn't understand. I'm sure most of us wouldn't have half the stuff we do if our skin magically became soft by not doing anything to it, although everytime a beauty advert comes on the tele he replies back "use chip fat, isn't that right love" :rotfl:
    Did owe £9,951.96

    Hi everyone

    Just a quick note.

Popped into Boots clearance yesterday. I did fill up but I really considered the purchases and bought
18 bottles of sunsilk conditioner - yes 18 :o they were 25p each and we do use a lot - wonder how bored Ill get of these?
Botanics day face cream - I think the time delay one is better for summer- will save it of course £2
Trevor sobie body spray for OH 50p
5x those little medditeranean almond scrub - plenty left Essexheb :)
    A FCUK body scrub ( little) 50p

Good job weve been using up otherwise we wouldnt have had the space for this

and a fairtrade Xmas tea & coffee box set for a fiver reduced from 25- inc 2x coffee, 1x tea, 3 bars of FT choc 2 mugs, jar ft honey pack of FT cookiies and a tin of FT cocoa. I feel like going back for more of these as cocoa itself is about £2, and the bars of choc would be worth 5er alone.

    Spent 12.7osomething - must update sig :(
having my pamper now so have used up the last of the Nair - need to buy more.
Used up 2 rubbish mini moisturisers - eastern spa gift set & a hotel one as I have my feet in a warm wrap to soften them

Have got a facemask and put this in the shower- better get on with it!

I was innocently walking throgh Boots on Friday at lunchtime and was asked by the Benefit girl if I would like to try their new blusher... I had nothing to do, so I ended up getting my face done, which looked really good (even skin tone etc)... Anyway, I don't have a foundation that I like and I really need/want the perfect foundation... so I ended up buying the 'Some Kinda Gorgeous' foundation faker with points (so free)!! She tried a brow pencil on me too (I am fair skinned and haired and have minimal eyebrows) which I also loved, but can't afford. I do have a No7 voucher though, so I might buy their brow pencil - has anyone tried this (or would anyone recommend this???)???

I am trying really hard, but not being completely successful... but I am also really minimising the non essential buys!!!
Am catching up, but wanted to say:
I would definitely try the No7 blond eyebrow pencil for colour before you buy it, as I found it a very strange colour. (I have blond hair and dark blond/medium brown eyebrows).
In fact, try the pencil for colour, and if it's a good match let me know, and I'll send you mine.

I recommend the Clinique eyebrow pencil, but it's £9.50.

Hello ladies, :o it seems much quieter in here these days....... I hope that doesn't mean that everybody is falling off the wagon onto the wayside! :undecided

I have very little to report once again, but I've still not bought anything and have finally managed to use up the last of the Trevor Sorbie Straightening Addict conditioner and the Sainsbury's night cream. I will be jumping in the shower soon to attack my endless stash and hopefully use up some more bits.

I did buy another small four drawer storage unit in Argos in February and will sort my stash into a more orderly fashion when I have a little more time. I dread to think what it will look like when it is all in one place. I think I will need a whole drawer just for hand cream - I keep discovering more tubes in various places. :(
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/
