    Hi all

I am going to try and do as much as possible of this this weekend, if anyone would like to join me. DH is not feeling great so we won't be going far, perfect opportunity. I am going to adapt the list for me.

Worth saying that my place is not particularly cluttered (on the surface anyway!) but for instance my wardrobe is full of clothes I never wear and all I wear is one pair of jeans, one pair of trackie bottoms and a few tops! I have some new clothes on the way that will need a home.

    1st Paper Monday

put wedding table camera photos into album
    sort receipts from purse
tidy notice board and recipe rack in kitchen
sort through cookery books & charity shop some
go through plastic craft drawers in study & throw unused stuff out
get filing cabinet and consolidate files

    2nd Cotton Tuesday
Clothes - sort out wardrobes & take stuff to charity bin/put in recycling
sort out underbed drawer - replace clothes with sleeping bag/duvet
    wash & reproof walking jacket

    3rd Leather Wednesday
    Handbag sorting/putting away/rehoming
shoes/boots - do any need reheeling/polishing/waterproofing. sort some for charity shop

    4th Linen Thursday
    sort throughLinen and airing cupboard
Towels give them a good sort; Vets often want old towels
Sort all your bedding, do you need that many spare sets
Piles of spare nets and curtains again do you use them? - belong to landlord but see if box will fit under bed
Cushions - any lumpy horrid ones to get rid of?
Napkins and Tablecloths you never use.

    5th Wood Friday
    fix middle bedroom drawer
Sort through drawers in spare room - rehome tools in plastic drawers (throw some out first!)
wood drawers in study sort out

    6th Iron Saturday
Cutlery drawers and all those utensils you never use
Are all the bikes ready for spring, now could be a good time to sell any which are nolonger used. needs tyres pumping up & rehoming to in laws garage

7th Day of rest! Almost lets pamper Sunday
Sort out toiletries on bathroom rack
Throw away stuff which has been open for a good while, gooey mascara and nail polish.
Not long now until you can start using the fake tan and need the sunscreen so your final declutter is a good exfoliate.
sort out make up/top drawer in bedroom - never use any of it!

    Morning all

DH and I have just creating a huge list of jobs - this week/soon/when we can

I can really see the difference to the decluttering so I'm continuing:

    Left to do:

Cotton - mending (I've decided to ask for the defuzzer for mothers day)
    wood - receipts drawer
Linen - needs to go back in the airing cupboard once DH has made the new shelves
Leather - sort the trunk of shoes looking for next size football boots for DS3
Iron - clean out the inside of my car (DH's too if I have time)
Toiletries - sort out and give myself a pedicure:

Already thinking ahead to next week:o

Paper - DS2's box of school work
Cotton - DS3's clothes - we have to empty his whole room of everything for the builder
Leather - done - so will be emptying DS3's room
Linen - sort out the teatowels drawer
Wood - Wooden intray and filing boxes on my desk
    Iron - sort garden tools
Toiletries - give self a manicure and epilady session

I'm still doing paper - shredding (my machine can only cope with 2 minutes every 20 minutes, oops) and getting rid of magazines. Tho I have just emptied out a hardly used wardrobe so I can stash some books in there, and then sell a big Cotswold bookcase I don't like, which is a winner on many levels :)

What a great idea, I will suggest it to our school too.

Feeling a bit better today so hopefully will have a bit of a catch up. It is drizzling so the garden is not calling me at least.

    Morning everyone

3 loads of washing done and tumble dried, fourth lot in now, only 5 more loads to do.

    Have a good day everyone

Can I join in too? Only found this thread late last night and am going to spend 1 hour on each section today. But have got stuck - have emptied my airing cupboard and is there an easy way of folding fitted sheets so that they look tidy on the shelf. And also how many sheets do you keep. I have 2 double beds and enough sheets duvet covers and pillowcases to start a B&B.
My jewellery and handbags have been tidied last week as my friends and I have a swap shop once a month and donate £1 to charity for each bit we buy.

    Welcome Grunnie.

There is a way to fold fitted sheets (I don't do it). Who is that annoying woman on tv who went off with somebodies hubbie? Oh yeah Anthea. If you go onto you tube I bet there is a video showing you how to do it (fold the sheets not run off with somebodies hubbie).

There are 5 of us. There are two sets of linen for every bed plus some spare white pillow cases and a couple of spare cotton sheets (the kids all prefer flannelette unless it is baking hot)

I've sorted the large boxes of spare toiletries under the bed. Just having lunch and then I'm going to do the canes and I might do the cars as the sun is shining. I am temped to garden Hex but DH is jet washing the back garden and I do have so much other stuff to do.
