- shredding
- scan magazine articles
- scan magazine covers
- everything that can be recycled, down to the garage in the recycling boxes.
- check out hotspot in living room, for things that can be chucked/need to be done.
- move books from unwanted bookcase to small fitted wardrobe, when its ready.
2nd Cotton Tuesday
Oh dear.
- empty small fitted wardrobe of jeans, to clear storage space for books.
- get clothes out of my wardrobe to lay on the bed, and *choose* what to put back
- do the same for the chest of drawers - might be painful, might not
- look at the clothes I've been meaning to chuck out, decide whether to or not  I seem to have a real problem with clothes!
3rd Leather Wednesday
actually did this recently, thank heavens.
4th Linen Thursday
did this one too. I *do* have a crocheted tablecloth that I don't want to throw, but don't use - I've just realised it will make a great throw over a cheap duvet that I don't want to iron (I'm allergic to ironing duvets) to help present the 2nd bedroom when I get the estate agents in in a few weeks time.
5th Wood Friday
- stuff on patio down to the skip
- wooden bookcase-type thing cleaned and brought up to the small fitted wardrobe, to help with book storage.
- move small wooden table down from bedroom to living room, where it used to be, to help use an alcove properly.
- finish off replacing light fitting in bathroom - just been out to buy the new little thingy I need (I'm dead technical, did you notice)
6th Iron Saturday
Not much for me to do in this bit, except clean my nice big stainless steel baking tin.
7th Day of rest! Almost lets pamper Sunday
- clean storage shelves in bathroom
- wipe down tiles.
- use some of the products!
I really need to get this lot done as an absolute minimum in the next week, as I want to put the house up for sale by the end of this month - it was supposed to be end of January, but I've been ill for a while. I'm getting a lot more energy, tho, so I'm trying to get going.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I've done this for ages, but wrap the duvet cover rather than a flat sheet around it all. I first saw it on Anthea Turner's show.

Most tenuous bit of decluttering - iron - tin of evaporated milk (well out of date) turned into fudge! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Yey I've got a bid on the wooden cabinet I've got on ebay - that'll be another wood thing decluttered. I've finished my Wood chores plus my iron ones.
Shoes out ready to be sorted in the morning. Need to go and cut the fudge up and get DH to blow up some balloons. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

And me :jPenelope Penguin, I love what you've done organising that post, thats a great idea - really gives you extra oomph to show what a lot you've done. So many of these jobs are fairly little in themselves, in a way, which is why they don't get done - but add them up, and it becomes absolutely huge. Love that list!
Thank you :A
I think I'm done on this challenge for this week; DH is home and DD needs taxi service for doing her photography project today.
Dusty, it's been great :A Thank you so much for this. I'm still going to be concentrating on Flylady, but I'm going to keep adding to my lists, and aim to do at least 1 job from 4 different categories each week, and if I do that, to claim myself a penguin for the week

Morning
This has been really motivating for me this week - still a long way to go but can see the light at the end of the tunnel so will carry on next week.
Thanks very much Dusty for organising this (and me!)

Morning all
DS1 is 16 today - where has the time gone?
It is lovely and sunny and we have heaps to do both inside and out. I didn't get around to making the cake last night so I'll do that now before a shower.
A few more toiletries bits to sort so I'll do that before the shower and that will be today done (soaking my feet this evening). The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
