There is a competition on this page to win a Mega Piranhas DVD & Poster.
However, for some reason I can't open the link.
Could someone please post it for me?

I'm not really sure though!
I used to use Ref Control before adopting the drag and drop method and found the software to be to problematic
for instance Ref Control blocks or forges the referrer for everything that you click on and there may be multiple pages in a competition so you will get an error message when trying to enter some competitions as the previous page referral link is needed for the form to work correctly
when you use the drag and drop or copy and paste method only the first referral link is discarded ( i:e the MSE referral link) so that when you enter a multiple page competition the previous referral links are in place and the form works correctly

Yeah I found that too before I started turning RefControl on to open the initial links and off before I went on and entered them all.
I used the drag and drop method for a while but also found that quite problematic, sometimes it would open in the same tab, or one of the other tabs even when I had the two little indicators to show it was going in between into a new tab.
It's great to have all the options though and then people can try them all out and see which one works best for them and sometimes even alternate for variety! :rotfl:0 -
damn and blast.....missed a call from absolute radio - a quick google suggests I will have lost out on any prize cause I didnt answer my phone...BOO Dont even know what I missed. Only been comping for a week and just been thanking threads systematically over the last few days as I got into a routine.

sorry, got a bit excited and posted my query in way to many threads but just to update you all, contacted them via website (by following the competition rules link) and just got email to confirm I did win and the details for going so if anyone else missed a call, this may be an appropriate way to follow it up?DFW 228 LONG H 68

evening all :-)
Just doing some comping at the moment and was wondering what peoples thoughts were on entering competitions for different areas. ie there are comps posted from yorkshire post and other different news papers.
Do you think its wise to enter these if you are from a completley different area?0 -
Hi,I'd just go ahead & enter them all. That is unless you need to collect the prize or the terms specifically say not to enter from outside the area.
I post a few on here from regional newspapers & have messages telling me of wins from out of the area.
From memory there is a Norfolk based title that only accepts entries from in the circulation area.0
