Good afternoon.

Looking for some advice please. Just had a phone call to say I have won a luxury holiday for 4 people inc flts and accomomdation with club la costa. Only thing I have to pay is £29.50 booking fee pp. She said I have to phone her back up and arrange for an appointment to pick up my holiday documnets from gleneagles perthshire, scotland. (I live in Glasgow). I asked her if it was some sort of time share and she said absolutley not we just hope you have a lovely holiday and that you recommend us.

She also wanted to confirm I earned over 30k combined income as that is part of their terms. I can take the holiday anytime in the next 18months and can book over the phone anytime.

My question is do you think this is one of these wins where they are trying to get you to buy something. I am new to comping and was really chuffed initially with the phone call but now I have started to think about it im unsure.

I would appreciate any advice.

I'd say it's a bit Timeshare & may cost you more than they say if you are not careful.
I'd google club la costa & you'll be surprised.

Thanks wee owen. Was trying to find it in my list of subscribed threads but cant find it. Just searched club la costa on mse and low and behold I read the first few pages of a thread and decided I will not be calling them back.

If you look at the entry form here

you see it asks how much you earn, whether you own your own house, if you are married.

That cluster of questions nearly always means Timeshare.

Thanks lilas. My mum did say why are they asking all these question about your income etc. I will know better in future.

It was exciting for a minute thinking I had actually won a prize lol.

Hi, can anyone else see any of the competitions posted by Helen yesterday from Glamour? I am clicking on the links but just going to the homepage. (i.e. this one, this one, this one, etc.). Have they expired already, have they moved or are they on the page but I can't find them?

Nobody has bumped any of the threads saying "can't find it" so I wasn't sure if it was just me. Many thanks

Hiya! I'm not sure what's going on, I just randomly went to check if there were any new comps on the website and they'd all vanished.

It looks like they're all re-appearing now but I'll change the links if any are different .

Is the glamour magazine website really slow when entering the competitions?

It's been like this for weeks and just wondering if it's the website or my computer settings.
