Must be the first competition that I have seen that is not open to people that enter competitions!

Oh that made me laugh! Especially considering she'd listed everyone that had thanked the poster, nevermind the fact that not all of those people had entered! I agree that its rude, but hey, she'll be the one losing out on hits to her website!

Why is it that merges aren't done, even though they've been sent to a BG?

It seems to me that Darren is the only one who merges straight away as soon as he sign on.

I've just searched a comp thread where I normally post from and found that a merge had been sent for a dup of my OP, and it has never ever been merged even to this date...? and the merge was sent apparently back in May 2010!

What is going on here? Members can be disqualifying themselves because of this...

hi MD, do you recall we asked for another BG when kipper never came back, but was told we didn't need one, the comps board has grown 3 times over since kipper finished but still MSE Andrea said we didn't need any more Bg's can't find the postings at the moment but i remember the threads for them,
personally think the comps board is far to big now for only 3 BG's to cope with merging, GO's, etc ..

Only thing is korky, that only 1 BG seems to be doing the merges?
I'm sorry if I'm wrong here, but I always send to Darren as I know how quickly he does the merges.

Yes, we do need another BG to help on this board, but I think that Andrea is still on maternatiy leave? So doubt it anything would happen ATM unfortunatly...

hiya, i always send to dal as well, but the other day had to send to one of the others, haven't checked back to see if they've been merged or moved as some were not comps & had been posted on main board, still trying to catch up with everything, they must get loads on here, was a mod on another site before joining here & had to move/merge/deal with stuff so appreciate how much hard work the BG's do on here as it moves so fast each day :eek:

maybe the BG's should ask the towers for help if they're finding it hard to cope with all the extra comps/merges/etc ,



ETA.. if the other 2 BG's & dal is getting down with doing them #10
perhaps best if they did ask the towers

I have found both Dalkirst and heatherw_01 prompt at dealing with merge requests as soon as they are online but unfortunately divadee ignores my pm's and I have had to resend merge requests to Darren or Heather. It is obvious from some of the comments on comp threads last week that other members have experienced the same problem.

In full honest mode I now just send merges to dalkirst.I did send in rotation but seemed to be blowing in the wind.It must be said that Divadee & heather may be doing other works on here but merges are the most apparent jobs that the the open forum see.

i often find comps going by end date that a merge request for pmed weeks ago but hadnt been done. as a result if there are replies in a thread i read down them all before i enter the comp (also saves me entering in haste form the op the odd time the answer is wrong or when other people have posted to say they wish they had read down before they entered lol). i dont bother requesting it again since its ending in a few days anyway so little point.

i think ive seen mention numerous times that diva is taking a step back atm due to personal issues/problems/lack of time......so technically i guess wea re down to 2 boardguides. really could do with a few more imo.

also a way to pm all board guides at once would be good, then whoever sees it first could deal with it rather than the pm only going to one. i wonder if away round that would be to have a thread stickied for posting merge requests? so instead of pming a merge we go post a link in that thread, then it can be thanked by a bg when they have dealt with it (instead of posting) so all bgs can then tell 1. what needs merged and 2. if it has been done or not. the expired button in theory notifies them to threads that need moving to go, but its not such a big deal if they dont get moved until original end date.
